East Java | After visiting Bromo, you should come to this waterfall to wash your shoes🩴

| After visiting Bromo, you should come to this waterfall to wash your shoes🩴. Indonesia is not only the 'Country of Thousands of Islands' but should also be known as the 'Country of Thousands of Waterfalls'. The numerous waterfalls of various sizes and shapes are dazzling. During our 26 days in Indonesia, we visited 6 waterfalls, and Madakaripura Waterfall is one of the more picturesque and enjoyable ones. - The name Madakaripura Waterfall comes from General Madakaripura of the Majapahit Kingdom, who is said to have made this place his last meditation spot before passing away. On the trek to the waterfall, you can see a statue of the general. It is said that those who pass through this blessed waterfall will find happiness. - The reason why this place is considered to have high aesthetic value and is fun is that you have to trek upstream for a distance, pass through a waterfall curtain (see photo 6), to reach the end: a cylindrical canyon with two waterfalls cascading down from towering cliffs, forming a serene blue pond in the canyon. Many tourists trek long distances to swim here, perhaps to receive more blessings left by General Madakaripura. - ✅ Travel recommendation: Madakaripura Waterfall is a little over an hour's drive from Bromo Volcano. You can visit the volcano in the morning and come here to play in the water in the afternoon. From the parking lot to the waterfall, you need to take a motorcycle for more than ten minutes, followed by a twenty to thirty-minute walk, which is fairly flat without the need to climb over mountains. - 🥾 It is recommended to wear stream trekking shoes. The scenic area provides helmets and plastic raincoats. -
