"Moon crossing bridge" 😌

The Togetsukyo Bridge is Arashiyama's well known landmark. The name was given to the bridge by Emperor Kameyama who saw a radiant moon shine its light over the river, as a result it appeared as if the moon was crossing over the entire bridge. There are many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions nearby, like the famous bamboo groves. And don't forget to try the matcha ice cream! My favorite 🥰 🌟Access- from Kyoto station take the JR Sagano line and get off Saga-Arashiyama station, from here it is about 10 minutes on foot. The train is fully covered by the JR Pass. You can also ride bus line 28 that departs from Kyoto station and stops at Arashiyama-Tenryuji-mae bus stop. This bus is included in the Kyoto day bus pass, but not the JR Pass.
