Self-drive: Navigate to 'Dayu Village' parking lot. Parking fee is 10. Self-driving will pass through narrow paths, which can be a bit difficult for cars to pass each other. Public transportation: Take Metro Line 3 to Mianshan or Metro Line 4 to Haitun Road Station, then transfer to a bus to Hope Elementary School, and walk a little over 1 kilometer. Tour Experience The village gives the impression of having been developed but not successfully. Most houses are built with earth and have a rustic charm, with many transformed cafes, restaurants, and some very artistic wall paintings and graffiti. There are also some cultural and creative shops and some homestays that have not been successfully transformed, which means there's not much commercial atmosphere. From the village, you can hike up to the Chessboard Mountain. The place where Chessboard Mountain connects with Dayu Village has a reservoir, and that's what I came for. The mountain is cool with green trees and a gentle breeze, giving a very comfortable feeling. Next to the reservoir, there are many forests and farmlands, offering a comfortable sense of being in a Green Wonderland. The local specialty in Tuanjie Township is Sichuan pepper chicken. But this season, the Sichuan peppers are not yet mature, and there are no Sichuan peppers for sale, only some wild vegetables, farm dishes, and fruits. You can go to the farmers' orchards to pick fruits. The fee is not expensive, and you can take the fruits straight from the tree.
