The Artistic Aesthetics of Sanbao Village

During the trip to Jingdezhen, the only regret was that too little time was given to Sanbao Village. This village, filled with an atmosphere of artistic and cultural romance, is nestled between two mountains, surrounded by high mountain mists and lush greenery. Walking along the main road, every earthen house and tile-roofed building on either side features extraordinary works imbued with the artistic spirit of Jingdezhen. Behind a brick wall covered with various porcelain pieces and fragments, a small wooden door displays an inconspicuous notice. This is a private museum of life aesthetics, possibly not listed on any platform's tourist guide. You need to pay 20 yuan per person first, then call the staff inside to open the door. After hesitating outside for a moment, I still wanted to see this niche art space in Jingdezhen. ♨️ Highlights of the Aesthetic Space ✔️ Exhibition of Master Hetang Kongyi's works, especially the blue and white freehand series ✔️ Ceramics and paintings by other resident artists ✔️ Various cultural and creative works filled with the artistic spirit of Jingdezhen ✔️ My favorite and most surprising aspect was actually the architectural layout and ambiance of the space. A two-story wooden structure, with a viewing area on the first floor, a small courtyard with a pond and a tea room. Many intriguing details, a place to reflect, a place to slow down, an ancient bridge reflecting the moon, a place where aesthetics bloom. 🔆 Visiting Tips If you are looking to see intricate and grand exhibitions and works, you might be slightly disappointed. The exhibition rooms are small, but the works are indeed worth savoring. I personally love the small courtyard, which might also carry the unique atmosphere of Sanbao Village. To say there are many highlights and surprises here might be an overstatement. So, don't hold too many expectations, treat it as a stop in Sanbao Village that is closer to its essence. Just that one hour of encounter.
