A meat lover’s heaven!

🍽️ Lunch buffet HKD398 pp @kurohanagyu.hk is a meat lover’s heaven with 120 minutes of all-you-can-eat wagyu beef hot pot at such reasonable prices! Loved the fact that several ‘welcome gifts’ were immediately served once we were seated. 1. A fresh seafood platter consisting of shrimps, scallops and mussels (only for those that booked in advance). After grilling for 10 minutes, the waiters will come and help crack open the shells. 2. A beautifully-presented tower with meat/fish balls and different cuts of pork that was surprisingly tender and equally high quality as the wagyu beef. 3. Dishes of each Kumamoto wagyu beef cut - remember to refer to the placemat chart for the corresponding suggested cooking time. My fave cuts were definitely the shoulder cold and chuck eye roll, which both were exceptionally well-marbled and had a buttery melt-in-the-mouth texture The senbosuji (super digital flexor muscle) is an extremely rare cut (only a few hundred grams per cow), which we found to be more chewy and meaty like the chuck flap tail and short rib. The loin was the thickest and leanest cut, but the raw egg yolk added a sweet umami quality to the meat. You can also order more hot pot ingredients and hot dishes (𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙞𝙯𝙯𝙖!) via a QR code that is valid for 90 minutes. Highly recommend the wagyu beef dumplings that were so stuffed with fillings that they were quite heavy to pick up. Dipping sauces, beverages (soft drinks/tea) and desserts (ice cream) can be freely taken at the stations.
