Hiroshima Peace Park The Peace Park is located next to the Genbaku Dom Mae Tram Stop, in the center of Hiroshima City. The park was laid out in memory of the tragic events of the atomic bombing. About 300 sakura trees are planted around the park along the riverbank. Hiroshima Castle Hiroshima Castle is a 10-minute walk from Kamiyachio Tram Station. Hiroshima Castle has been rebuilt from the ruins. More than 450 sakura trees have been planted here. The best way to admire sakura is to walk around the castle. The entrance is free around the castle (climb to the tower 360 yen). Shukkei Garden The Shukkei Garden is a 15-minute walk from Hiroshima Station (entrance fee 250 yen). There are more than 200 sakura trees planted in the garden. The garden is a traditional Japanese landscape garden, picturesque at any time of the year, especially during the cherry blossom season. Hijiyama Park The park is located next to the Hijiyama Koen Sita Tram stop. Hijiyama Park is located on a hill, with views of the city landscapes. More than 1300 sakura trees are planted around the park. This place is most loved by the locals during hanami (sakura admiring). The Sacred Island of Miyajima Miyajima Island is one of the three most picturesque places in Japan. Miyajima is a 45-minute train and ferry ride from Hiroshima Station. This place is best known for the scarlet gate-torii, standing in the waters of the bay. More than 1,300 sakura trees have been planted on the island around the Itsukushima Temple and along the island's hiking trail.
