Haikou Travel Guide! Personally tested! No tourist traps!

2024's first destination, I chose the "Coconut City" Haikou! It's very suitable for living, with reasonable prices! Attractions are all concentrated, great for zoning out and resting~ - 📍Haikou city walk itinerary: 3 days and 2 nights Day1: Haikou Arcade Old Street ➡️ Hengxingfa Tea Shop (Dad's Tea) ➡️ Haikou Bell Tower ➡️ Xitian Temple ➡️ Haikou Cloud Cave Library ➡️ Century Bridge ➡️ Snack Street at the South Gate of Hainan University Day2: Zhengfanghua (Dad's Tea) ➡️ Hainan Provincial Museum ➡️ Haikou Riyue Plaza Duty-Free Shop ➡️ Jiujii Desserts - 🏝️Attractions: ✔️Arcade Old Street: The 700-year-old Arcade Old Street is the calling card of Haikou city, featuring Southeast Asian style architecture that's perfect for street photography! Jiewai Boutique Homestay (250r/night) on the third floor offers great street views, free for hotel guests, non-guests can take photos for about 30r with a drink! ✔️Bell Tower: Gothic architecture, the red bell tower is located among the coconut palms, a landmark of Haikou! It's very close to the Arcade Old Street and can be reached on foot. ✔️Cloud Cave Library: The sunset view in the evening is absolutely beautiful! Arrive at 5 pm, it's okay if you don't have a reservation on Mondays when it's closed, the outside is more beautiful than the inside, and right next to it is a seaside cycling and walking path, very comfortable with the sea breeze! ✔️Century Bridge: You can photograph the Century Bridge from the Cloud Cave Library, the night view is beautiful, daytime is average ✔️Hainan Provincial Museum: Advance reservation is needed, cultural and creative ice cream is 15r each and looks pretty - 🍧Food: Hainan University South Gate Night Market: Very lively! Lots of people! Qingbu Liang, Zaocu Vinegar, Lingshui Sour Noodles are all cheap, fruits 15r for 2 boxes! Xitian Temple: A street full of snacks, all kinds of sticky treats, seafood, desserts, fruits... Hengxingfa Dad's Tea: Recommended! Really delicious! Dad's Tea is 5r per cup and you can get a free refill, pineapple buns, taro treasures, French toast, signature big buns, seafood noodles, a variety of tea shops, everything is tasty... Zhengfanghua Dad's Tea: No exaggeration! I ate there two meals in a row! A very complete variety, you can find all Haikou delicacies, red rice sausage, mango rice rolls, pineapple spare ribs buns... too much to finish, and not expensive! Jiujii Desserts: So good you'll forget to leave, with lots of durian flesh... Dong San Jie Desserts: At Xitian Temple! Very crowded, I think it's just average... Chicken feces vine, sweet potato milk, indescribable, just for the experience! Starfruit Tree Braised Noodles: Not worth a special trip just to check in! Internet-famous seafood braised noodles, good for photos, taste is average! - 🛍️Duty-Free Shops Haikou has a total of 5 duty-free shops, make sure to note! Remember to get coupons in advance!! There are 3 shops from Zhongmian, 1 from Haikong, and 1 from Shenmian, if you don't have enough time you can buy online and pick up at the airport, there are also duty-free shops at the airport.
