Guizhou - Qingyan Ancient Town

Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the most famous historical and cultural towns in Guizhou, was an extremely memorable and pleasant experience. It’s incredibly easy to get to. I took a taxi from Guiyang, it took just under an hour and cost 80rmb. If you prefer, you could also take bus 203 or 210. My ticket cost 60rmb and I spent about 4 hours at the site. The town itself is breathtakingly beautiful. A spectacular city wall encases the town which you are free to walk upon. This provides wonderful views and photo opportunities. The ancient architecture is wonderful with different temples, courtyards, gates and walls to visit. The streets are alive and bustling with an enormous variety of local vendors selling street food, local delicacies, clothing, instruments and much more.
