If you could only choose one landmark from Guangzhou, it would undoubtedly be the Canton Tower. Every time I go to Guangzhou, no matter where I stay in the city, I can always catch a glimpse of it. This time, I stayed near the Canton Tower, and I could see the whole tower from the balcony, as if it was right in front of me. Like most TV towers in the world, the Canton Tower is named after the city it is located in. The main body of the tower is 454 meters high, and the antenna mast is 146 meters high, with a total height of 600 meters, making it the tallest tower in China. Although it looks slender, it can withstand an 8-magnitude earthquake and a 12-magnitude typhoon, and its design life is over 100 years. In addition to being visible from every corner of the city, the Canton Tower also offers many entertainment and leisure activities. The tower has the world's highest and longest skywalk, the world's highest revolving restaurant, and the world's highest Ferris wheel. There is even the world's highest vertical drop ride, "Sky Drop," at the antenna mast. Those who like thrills should definitely try it, but those who are afraid of heights should think twice.
