Julong Village, also known as 'Kuang's Village,' built in 1879 by the Kuang clan from Taishan, Guangdong, is one of the most intact ancient residential complexes in Guangzhou, not very large, but known for its quiet and leisurely atmosphere. It has a completely different style from the Pantang area of Liwan Lake Park with nearly 20 neatly aligned, orderly Qing brick houses, providing great comfort to those with a penchant for orderliness. It has the feel of a Xiguan mansion, with cross-barred doors, Manchu windows, old lanterns, and exquisite carvings, brimming with Lingnan charm. Carefully renovated, it still retains its original flavor, feeling just right. There is no commercial atmosphere here, only some intangible cultural heritage studios have settled in. It's perfect for friends who like quiet places to wander and unwind. Outside the village, along the stream, there are also ancient relics like the Yuling Bridge.
