The Vicissitudes of the Earth Hall next door introduces the development of Datong from prehistoric times to the Qin and Han dynasties, from barbarism to civilization. 2F: The core exhibition, the Wei Capital Pingcheng Hall, is not to be missed. It systematically displays the glorious history of Datong as the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The Sima Jinlong Tomb, lacquered screen, stone coffin bed, wooden tombs, Northern Wei glass bottle, and warrior statue are all treasures of the museum and should be carefully appreciated. 3F: The Liao and Jin Western Capital Hall is the second peak of Datong's history, with precious artifacts such as the glazed chiwen of Huayan Temple and the gold ornaments of Qu State Temple.
