Kaiyuan Temple Thai Buddha Hall in Chaozhou

The Kaiyuan Temple Thai Buddha Hall is located opposite the old city of Chaozhou, on the east side of the Hanjiang Bridge. The Thai Buddha Hall was founded by the vice president of the Guangdong Buddhist Association, the venerable Dingran, and built with donations from the Thai Chinese community leader Xie Huiru. It is the first Han Buddhist temple in Guangdong that features a unique tropical style, grand scale, and beautiful architecture. It serves as a reflection of the cultural exchange between China and Thailand, and as a testament to the support of the Thai Teochew community for their hometown's development. This attraction is free of charge.
