Majestic and Resounding: Wu Zhengbin's Works Exhibition.

Wu Zhengbin was born in 1942 in Shashi, Hubei Province. He is a professor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1965. In 1982, his oil painting "Balcony" was collected by the National Art Museum of China. He is a member of the China Artists Association and a researcher of literature and history of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. Due to work needs, Wu Zhengbin began teaching watercolor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1983. His watercolor paintings have a strong tendency towards oil painting colors, paying attention to subtle changes in color, applying oil painting techniques and understanding of color to watercolor painting creation, and bringing the transparency and expressiveness of watercolor painting to the fullest. His powerful brushwork is as firm and free as his personality. Years of accumulation have made him quite accomplished in the field of watercolor painting. In 1994, his watercolor painting "Reincarnation" won an award at the National Art Exhibition and was collected by the National Art Museum of China. In 1995, his work "Temple" was also collected by the National Art Museum of China. Wu Zhengbin is passionate about life and likes to paint directly from scenes and people. His watercolor sketches of the human body are particularly outstanding, reaching a certain height in both color expression and character modeling. Over the years, he has traveled all over the country for sketching, and the Tibetan areas of China have left the deepest impression on him. He feels that there is an inexhaustible source of inspiration there, with unique plateau snowfield landscapes, gorgeous natural scenery, and rich and colorful ethnic colors, making him linger again and again. Since 1986, he has gone to the Tibetan areas to paint almost every year, and he has been doing so for more than 30 years. He is not afraid of the harsh climate of the plateau, loves nature, and with a love for art, persistence, and perseverance, he has created a batch of excellent works, fully reflecting Professor Wu Zhengbin's calmness and composure in his pursuit of art.
