Step into the Summer Palace and you will feel as if you have entered a fairyland. The vast Kunming Lake is a deep green, and the sunlight glistens on the lake surface like a sea of stars. The ripples on the water are like a dream. The Seventeen-Arch Bridge lies across the lake, and the stones of the bridge are ancient and strong. The stone lions are all different, some are majestic like loyal guards, standing tall and proud, their eyes sharp, always guarding the garden; others are cute like mischievous children, tilting their heads and playing with each other, their hair so finely carved that it seems to move in the wind. Such exquisite craftsmanship is truly amazing. The long corridor by the lake is like a dancing ribbon, with colorful paintings and vivid stories. The paint on the columns is mottled, but it does not hide the glory of the past. Touch it gently and you can feel the texture and warmth of history. The beams and rafters are intricately painted, with dragons and phoenixes, dragon scales shining as if they are about to soar into the sky; phoenix feathers fluttering as if they are about to fly high; flowers, birds, fish, and insects are vividly depicted, flowers are bright and beautiful, birds are singing, fish are swimming and playing in the water, their lively postures are vividly portrayed. On the top of Longevity Hill, the Tower of Buddhist Incense stands tall, with golden tiles reflecting the sun, red walls solemn, surrounded by pines and cypresses, exuding majesty. The flying eaves are like a roc soaring into the sky, the beautiful curve is like the majestic momentum of a roc spreading its wings; the brackets are like stars, closely arranged, neat and exquisite; the eaves bells sing in the wind, their crisp sound seems to travel through thousands of years, telling the story of time. From the top, you can see pavilions scattered like stars, the lake and mountains reflecting each other, like a natural ink painting, every stroke full of history, every place showing nature.
