The parliament hall is square in plan, with narrow vestibules on the east, west, and south sides. The conference hall is located behind the vestibules. The "Round Building" is located on the north side of the parliament hall, named after the elliptical shape of the conference hall inside. It has two floors above ground, built with gray bricks, and a triangular truss roof. The southern part of the building has three rest rooms, and the northern part has a round conference room enclosed by a half-round vestibule. On the east side of the parliament hall, there are two rows of two-story buildings with front porches, which were used as offices for drafting the constitution. The buildings are made of gray brick with exposed walls and triangular truss roofs. After the Xinhai Revolution, the Senate of the Republic of China was established in Nanjing in 1912, serving as the highest legislative body of the Nanjing Provisional Government. On April 5, the Provisional Senate moved to Beijing with the Provisional Government. On April 8, 1913, the official parliament (both houses) was established, and the Provisional Senate was dissolved. The parliament was dissolved after the Beijing coup in October 1924. In 1925, it was renamed Beijing Law and Political University. After 1927, it was merged into the Law Department of Peking University. The building is now the auditorium of Xinhua News Agency, with guards on duty. Visitors can only admire it from afar through the fence. 10: Niu Jie Mosque, located at No. 18, Zhonglu, Niu Jie, the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units, Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, ancient architecture. Wangyue Tower, Main Hall, and Bangke Tower are closely connected. Wangyue Tower also serves as the main entrance, with a unique layout. The Main Hall faces east, divided into three sections. The main structure was built in the early Ming Dynasty, with a deep red gatehouse. The kiln hall is located in the west, in the shape of a hexagonal pavilion. The wood carvings of the ancient Quran scriptures pavilion and the镂空古兰经赞词花窗 are exquisite and unpainted, with typical early Qing Dynasty painted relics. In the southeast corner of the courtyard, there are two elders from Central Asia who came here to preach. The tombstone with Arabic inscription carved in the first year of Yuanzhiyuan reign (1264) is the oldest relic in the temple. The mosque is currently closed for repairs, and visitors can only look at the entrance.
