Bangkok's Best Observation Deck - Banyan Tree Moon Bar

If you're visiting Bangkok and looking for a great spot to view the city's skyline, consider the Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree Hotel. Unlike the Mahanakhon Skywalk, which charges around 200 baht for entry without drinks, the Moon Bar offers a more cost-effective option. Open daily from 5 PM, it requires no entry fee but has a minimum spend. You can purchase a voucher for 800 baht per person, approximately 160 RMB, which allows you to enjoy two drinks. The voucher is non-refundable but can be used multiple times within a month if there's a remaining balance. The drink menu is extensive, and my partner and I used two vouchers to try four non-alcoholic cocktails, all of which were delightful. The rooftop is cool and breezy in the evening, featuring a glass walkway perfect for photos. Compared to the Mahanakhon Skywalk, the Moon Bar attracts more Western visitors and offers a better atmosphere, with the added bonus of a view of the Mahanakhon building itself. I recommend arriving at the hotel lobby around 4:50 PM to secure a good spot, as it gets busy.
