Capella Ubud, Bali is nestled deep in the Ubud jungle. The hotel's 23 tent villas are the only guest rooms available, built into the mountainside and complementing the surrounding natural landscape. Bill Bensley was inspired by early 19th-century European immigrants and designed the hotel as a tribute to the adventurous spirit of immigrants. I booked a Terrace Tent Villa. As it was fully booked during the holiday, I didn't get an upgrade. The room was ready when I arrived at noon. I was arranged to stay in Villa No. 15, "The Librarian’s Tent". Except for the only two-bedroom villa, all room types are the same size. The difference lies in the view and the size of the pool. The villa is very close to the front desk tent, which is suitable for people like me who don't like to walk. The spacious outdoor terrace overlooks terraced rice fields and tropical rainforests. There is also a private pool, sun loungers, and a daybed. The interior is a clever combination of classic design and modern, luxurious furnishings, which is very stylish. What impressed me were the suspension bridge at the entrance of the villa, the bathroom's forged copper bathtub, and the toilet that looks like a throne, all of which are full of fun and creativity. At night, they will prepare a basin of foot bath water. At this time, after swimming in the private pool, you can take a comfortable hot bath while watching the stars and taking an outdoor shower, which can really wash away the fatigue of a day's play. The tent also provides a backpack and a walking stick for exploring the hotel, a super-rich free minibar, handmade soaps of various fragrances (a box is given and you can take them all away), comfortable robes and bedding, etc. While fully immersed in the jungle adventure life, you can also feel the meticulous service and ceremonial enjoyment.
