Bali - Tulamben Located in a small fishing village in the northeast of Bali Our honeymoon trip marked our first diving adventure abroad at the Liberty Wreck. The USAT Liberty Shipwreck is ranked among the top ten dive sites in the world by various diving websites. It was a US military cargo ship torpedoed by the Japanese during World War II and beached at Tulamben. In 1963, the eruption of Mount Agung broke the Liberty into pieces, which now lie scattered on the seabed at an angle. Over the years, the disintegrated ship has been covered in coral and has become home to many marine creatures, with the most popular being the bumphead parrotfish that can be seen during early morning and night dives.
