Beijing Escape | Qinhuangdao | Lonely Library

This is a nice weekend escape from Beijing - around 2hr15 ride on the fast speed train. The library and church are actually part of the Aranya resort and is located on the beach front of the resort. You can chose to stay in the resort or can also stay outside and pay only to enter the library area . I stayed outside and payed an entrance fee. However I would really recommend booking a room and staying in Aranya. You can’t really swim in the sea but the resort seems to have its own pool, restaurant and even a livehouse. Also if are able to avoid the holiday periods - you can actually get some nice deals at Aranya. #chinatravel #wecreate #beijing

I can SEA you

An amazing getaway from Beijing. I try to go once a year to the beach nearest to the capital and I love to go in may before the crowds start coming. The weather is not that warm in may but I just love to feel the sand under my feet. This time we drove a car to Aranya. It took about 3 hours each way. As an alternative you can take a train from Beijing to Beidaihe or Qinhuangdao train station, they are not so far apart and from the station it’s very easy to take a taxi or DiDi. Aranya is a closed community with hotels, apartments, restaurants, shops, cinema and you need to live in one of the hotels or go to an event to be able to get access to enter. Once inside it is so amazing nice. The beach stretch is quite long and you can find a church, library and bars along the beach. As we entered we had lunch at HE Kitchen before heading to the beach. In the evening we had shake shack however there are multiple options for food if you want to explore. We stayed at this B&B in Aranya for CNY 300 per person per night.

Our B&B can accommodate 4–6 people. It is a loft room located in Phase 2. It has a large terrace and a sea view from the upper floors. It is a 5-minute walk from the beach. The current price is less than half of the summer price. Aranya is undoubtedly the best choice in the off-season. The B&B we booked also offers a youth room-sharing mode, which is suitable for couples or friends traveling together. Aranya is no longer a place where you are put off by the price. We spent a small amount of money on a big event and received a rich welcome gift. The service attitude of the owner is also very good. It is the best choice for college students who want to save money.

Aranya | Yinlu Hotel Real Experience I was torn between Yinlu and Anlan before I went. I ended up choosing Yinlu in Phase 8. Although it's a bit far, the off-season doesn't affect the experience at all. I really like the Japanese style, and the whole hotel smells nice. There is a card with the sunrise time for the next day on the bedside table. The shuttle bus is very convenient no matter where you go. Breakfast is very ordinary, but you can eat your fill, and the environment is very good. Take a nice bath at night and then get up early the next day to watch the sunrise. I regret not booking a few more days. I'll choose Yinlu again next time I go in the off-season.
