Afternoon hikes in Toubkal National Park

This popular national park is located around 57 kilometers south of Marrakesh. This is mostly owing to the presence of Djebel Toubkal, Morocco's (and North Africa's) tallest peak, as well as a variety of wonderful walking options ranging from multi-day treks to afternoon hikes. If you don't want to climb Toubkal's 4,167-meter peak, you may take the delightful, scenic village-to-village Aremd circuit, which offers you the same breathtaking vistas without the sweaty exertion. It may be a little bit of a tourist trap but a trip to the Agafay Desert may still be worth it. Most trips will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and then take you on a ride over the sandunes in the early evening until you arrive at one of the desert camps. Once there you are often given the choice of a camel ride of quad bike through the desert before sitting down to a traditional evening meal with a Bedouin entertainment show. #voyagevibes

The mountains were not calling, but I went anyway! My parents were visiting the States a second time, and we wanted to take a trip, to a not-so-obvious tourist place. That is how we ended up adding Bryce Canyon National Park to our itinerary. And boy, was that a great decision! It was a family road trip — we rented a car big enough to carry our suitcases, booked a hotel that promised us a cabin experience, and packed food to satisfy our hungry stomachs. Google maps prompted us directions and we navigated our way to Bryce Canyon. We were looking forward to a journey filled with discovery, adventure, and fun!
