Take a trip to Provence, France.
Travel Dlux tells the story of a trip to Provence, France. We chose to come to this region in France because we had heard rumors for a long time that the nature here is beautiful. And it really is beautiful. The houses are unique, just like we've seen in books. We met lovely people who just dragged their luggage to their accommodation. The summer here is great because we don't have to adjust our body temperature. The advantage is that it gets light in the morning very quickly. At 9pm, people are still walking leisurely.

Hike: Le Tholonet to Lac Zola
Getting There - the starting point of Le Crémade Nord (not to be confused with the bus station 50 minutes away!) is only a 20 minute drive from Aix-en-Provence city center! 🚗 I would recommend renting a car when visiting Provence to make the most of the area. We parked by a nearby restaurant (please see last picture!).
Attractions - this may be a less well known hike, but very good for a quick getaway from the city center into the wilderness. The view of Montaigne Ste Victoire ⛰ was stunning, although Lac Zola 💧 itself was a bit underwhelming. Those who enjoy mountain views (like me) will love it, those who enjoy the water, not so much.
Other Details - good for beginner hikers 🐾 as the whole journey only took around 2 hours there and back. Perhaps start the hike at 14:00 to miss the heat at its peak! ☀️

Yesterday we spent a beautiful and hot day in Aix-en-Provence, enjoying the lovely architecture and exploring the streets and shops, but most of all the delicious food. It was a great day of being with family and making memories. #merrychristmas
Feel the elegance of France in the blue morning light of Provence.
At 6:30 am, I went for a morning run to the Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient Roman aqueduct has stood over the Rhône River for 2,000 years, as strong as ever. It makes you wonder what force has kept it standing for so long.
That day, I happened to be there for the start of the annual Veni Vici Run. Because I was there early, I was lucky enough to enter the bridge area for free and experience the thrill of running through a World Heritage Site. The stone slabs underfoot are steeped in history, while the morning breeze brings a sense of vitality. Take a step forward and embrace the positive energy of each day.
Stay at Soko Hotels - Pont du Gard, and you can reach this great miracle in just a 5-minute walk. The elegance of a French morning run in Provence starts here.
The former residence of the famous painter Cézanne.
If Arles in southern France is Van Gogh's Arles, then Aix-en-Provence is Cézanne's Aix.
Aix was the capital of Provence in the Middle Ages. In 123 BC, the Roman consul Sextius Calvinus named the spring here after himself and established Aquae Sextiae. After that, it was occupied by the Visigoths and plundered by the Franks and Lombards. After the 12th century, under the rule of Barcelona/Aragon and Anjou, Aix became an art center and academic center. In 1487, Aix, along with other parts of Provence, became part of the French royal family.
Cézanne, the master of "art is a revelation of subtle sensitivity," is so closely associated with Aix that you can follow in Cézanne's footsteps in Aix, from his birthplace to his studio, to the homes of his family and friends, to the cafes he frequented with his friends, and finally to his final resting place, to fully appreciate the city Cézanne experienced.

Staying in aix en Provence hotel was so perfect they had everything approximately and we wasn’t far from Marseille. About a 30min drive. Were we went to shop and saw the sign. The beaches are everything.
Mont-Tremblant National Park.
The park is very large, I can't say how large it is! There are many cars parked in the parking lots along the way, and people of all ages can be seen hiking everywhere. Families with children simply sit on the grass by the valley river to sunbathe, play in the water, sleep, chat, and picnic, without having to climb up and down in a sweat; people with good physical strength can climb to the mountainside to watch the waterfall; people with climbing equipment can also find their own fun! People with big wallets and who enjoy life can also drive to the nearby hot spring holy land for a bath! In short, you won't come back empty-handed!
Why are we so obsessed with summer in the South of France?
From Provence to the Côte d'Azur, I spent half a month in the early summer in the South of France.
The sun was always bright and warm,
The air was filled with the scent of jasmine
Every plant was uniquely beautiful. At this moment, you can live in a movie.
Don't think about anything, just idle away the time and be happy.

Heart of the city
While I only had a few hours to spare in Aix en Provence during a week long trip. I did manage to stroll around the Cours Mirabeau, which was quite lovely during the day. The weather was perfect and the place with its colorful buildings and architecture made for a fine walk around this part.
There were several fountains too and the tree lined roads had a lively vibe. I'm told there is a market that takes place over here on Thursdays. The building with their regal architecture and open air cafes added to the ambience of this stretch. It clearly is the grandest boulevard and heart of the city. Another time this will definitely receive a lot more of my time.

Aix-en-Provence Where Time Stands Still
#winhkflight
In the heart of the Provence region of France, nestled among rolling hills and sun-drenched vineyards, lies the picturesque town of Aix-en-Provence. As I wandered through its cobblestone streets and leafy boulevards, I felt as though I had stepped into a painting – a scene of timeless beauty and tranquility.
Aix-en-Provence is a town steeped in history and culture, with roots that stretch back to ancient times. Its winding alleyways and hidden squares are lined with elegant mansions and charming cafés, each one a testament to the town's rich architectural heritage.
I began my exploration of Aix-en-Provence in the historic Old Town, where narrow streets led me past centuries-old buildings and bustling markets. The scent of lavender filled the air, mingling with the aroma of freshly baked bread and the sound of street musicians playing traditional Provençal melodies.
As I wandered through the colorful markets, I was drawn to the vibrant displays of local produce – plump tomatoes, ripe figs, and fragrant herbs – all basking in the warm Mediterranean sun. I sampled creamy cheeses and sweet pastries, savoring the flavors of Provence with every bite.
But it was not just the sights and smells of Aix-en-Provence that captivated me; it was the sense of serenity and contentment that seemed to permeate the air. In the tranquil shade of the town's leafy squares, I found respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing myself to simply be, to exist in the moment and soak in the beauty of my surroundings.
As the day drew to a close and the sun dipped below the horizon, I found myself drawn to the Cours Mirabeau, the town's bustling main thoroughfare. Lined with majestic plane trees and elegant fountains, it was a place where locals and visitors alike gathered to stroll, to chat, to linger over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
As I sat at a café, watching the world go by, I felt a profound sense of gratitude for the time I had spent in Aix-en-Provence. In this charming town where time seemed to stand still, I had discovered a sense of peace and contentment that would stay with me long after I left. And as I bid farewell to Aix-en-Provence, I knew that I would carry its beauty and tranquility with me wherever I went, a cherished memory of a place that had captured my heart.

Have you checked in to the ten most romantic countries in the world?
The ten most romantic countries in the world, you must go and see.
❤①Italy
The beauty of Italy is ancient, passionate, fanatical, and more romantic.
It's you exploring Audrey Hepburn's footsteps in the Spanish Square in Roman Holiday, it's you gazing at your lover in the Florence Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, it's you pushing a gondola into the small streets and alleys in the water city of Venice. It's you stepping on Sicily to see the most romantic sunset.
❤②France
If Paris is a flowing feast, then France is permanent romance.
Follow the footsteps of purple water chestnut and cloud sail into Paris, into Provence, into the lavender fields, into the ancient castles full of stories, and also into the arms of your own lover.
❤③Indonesia Bali
Bali is known as the island of the gods, a place blessed by heaven, a land full of love, natural and pure beauty, unique Hindu culture. Pursue the freedom and romance of the soul to Bali.
❤④Turkey
Turkey, like a wild horse, ran from Asia and crashed into the European continent. When the hot air balloon in Cappadocia rises, I think: I wish you and I can wander in this world with the most humble luggage and the richest self.
❤⑤Slovenia
The only country with 'love' in its name, love is romantic because of companionship. And my love is hidden in every moment.
❤⑥Iceland
To love at the end of the world is the most beautiful praise for Iceland. I don't have a big wish, my only wish is to go to the end of the world with you. Some people say that the end of the world is loneliness, but it is this loneliness that needs to be loved. Loneliness itself is also a kind of romance.
❤⑦Greece
The sunset of Santorini is an indelible romance in life. Love you before sunset, pour all the blue and white in the world, searching for all the sadness and joy in the world. Freeze love in front of your eyes.
❤⑧Maldives
At the time you like, in the way you like, do what you like the most. This is the romantic life I want most in the Maldives.
❤⑨Australia
Everyone says, you must come to the Great Barrier Reef once in your life. Fortunately, there is love, fearless mountains and seas. I think the mountains and seas are a particularly romantic word, without boundaries, without constraints, both the destination and the home.
❤⑩China
The romance of China is hidden in the longing of 'The so-called Yi people, on the other side of the water' in the Book of Songs, also hidden in the persistence of 'I see all beings are grass and wood, only seeing you is the green mountain', and more hidden in the prayer of 'How can the world get the best of both worlds, not betray the Tathagata, not betray you'. The romance of the Chinese lies in the fact that every sentence does not mention I love you, but every sentence is I love you.
Life is only a few decades

Provence is a place full of history
It really makes people linger. The blue sky, white clouds, sunny weather, and unique scenery around me make me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. Visit three mountain towns in Provence. Biquan Village, nestled in the mountains and rivers, the spring water is gurgling, cool and comfortable. Gouhe Town, perched on the top of the mountain, the city in the sky, spectacular and fascinating. Huxi Yong Village, simple and pleasing to the eye, the city of red soil, intriguing. The small town of Provence, full of charm, like lavender, fragrant and romantic, lingering for a long time!
First stop, we recommend trying the local specialties of Provence
Lavender salt roasted lamb chops. The local chefs are very good at cooking with fresh lavender, and salt-roasted lamb chops are one of the most popular dishes. The tender and juicy lamb chops with a hint of lavender aroma are memorable.
Next, if you like outdoor sports, then hiking through the lavender fields of Provence is not to be missed. During the flowering period from June to August, large fields of lavender bloom with beautiful flowers, forming a purple ocean. Walking along the country roads, you can not only admire the magnificent lavender fields, but also pass through some ancient villages and historic churches.
Transportation in the Provence region is very convenient. You can choose to take a train from Paris to Marseille, and then transfer to local trains or buses to reach the Provence region. In addition, if you like self-driving tours, you can inquire about the details of the parking lot in advance, because the number of parking lots in the Provence region is limited.
For accommodation, there are many characteristic hotels in the Provence region for tourists to choose from. I recommend a hotel called 'Lavender Appointment', which is a hotel with a lavender garden, with elegant environment, attentive service, and moderate price. Of course, if you prefer more personalized accommodation, you can choose to stay in local homestays. These homestays are carefully decorated, and each has its own characteristics.
When visiting Provence, please keep quiet and do not disturb the wildlife in the lavender fields. In addition, due to the changeable weather in the lavender fields, it is recommended to prepare rain gear and sun protection at all times. Also, although you can take pictures in the lavender field, please respect the regulations and do not use flashlights and tripods.
In summary, Provence in France is a place worth exploring with your heart. I hope this guide can help your trip. Finally, I wish you a happy holiday in Provence!

The slow life in Provence!
A day in Provence. Without lavender, this place is still Provence. Grapes here can be used for wine making, and also for decorating stone houses. The slow life here is second to none, other places hardly dare to claim the first place, it's not easy to find a few people on the street, let alone a bustling place, French people are generally quiet. So everyone likes to come here for a walk, to avoid the crowd, walking is also a form of meditation.
