There is no lift, so prepare yourself to carry your luggage up. Located right in front of the train station, very convenient as we're travelling out of Krakow at 4am by train. Room is very very small but equipped with amenities. There's no place to even open our luggage, we had to put it under our beds. Comfortable, comes with Aircond and heater. Toilet is also small even for a petite size. It is also very near to the old town square.
Hostel Deco, nestled in Kraków's heart, offers prime access to attractions. The spotless rooms and shared spaces impressed me. The staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing my stay. Modern facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and reliable Wi-Fi, met all my needs. For budget travelers seeking comfort and convenience, this hostel is a gem in Kraków's crown.
The hotel is in a great location between Auschwitz and Energylandia. It is a really nice hotel. Unfortunately, they are not so good at keeping it clean. In the 5 days we were there, they didn't even manage to refill the toilet paper in the room. We had to do it ourselves.
There is a restaurant below the hotel and our room was right above it. Loud music played in the garden until 11 p.m. You would have thought the music was in our room, it was so loud. Otherwise, the room was really big. The fridge in the room was also very loud, so you couldn't sleep. We turned it off.
The breakfast buffet was OK. I've seen better ones, but also much worse ones.
You can see that the hotel is a bit old. But overall, it was good for the price.
Its location is unbeatable, as it's only a minute from the main square. The room was perfectly clean, there was lots of space, I actually got a twin room for the price of a single. The high walls gave additional luxury feeling.
The staff was very helpful, as the receptionist offered me a help with my luggage.
The only potential disadvantage are the stairs to the second floor, if you have a heavy luggage.
It's perfectly quite.
The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short 10‑minute walk from the train station and very close to the scenic highlights of the old town. This made exploring the area both convenient and enjoyable.
In terms of amenities, the water pressure / water saving mode could be improved, as the outflow was rather weak and not very comfortable.
On the positive side, the breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that made mornings a real treat.
This hotel has a system in place where check-in instructions are sent by email in advance, but I never received them, and when I arrived, I was completely confused and had no idea how to enter my room. The hotel insisted that they had sent it, and even when I called, I was unable to explain the situation to them properly, as I am not good at English, and I was truly at a loss. Eventually, I was able to explain the situation to a staff member at a nearby restaurant, who acted as an interpreter, and I was finally able to enter. However, I ended up waiting outside for about five hours in the middle of winter in Krakow, an experience I will never forget. The room itself was very clean, well-equipped, and extremely comfortable, so if it weren't for that initial issue, I think it would have been a truly wonderful stay.
When I booked the reservation there seemed no choice for a single gender room. I thought maybe they will arrange so in fact, but I actually got a mixed gender room. This should not be blamed on the hostel of course because I did not confirm that when I checked in. So this is an advice for the future clients that if you want a single gender room, make sure to ask for one when checking in. Otherwise you may get a stinky room after waking up.
Overall it’s a nice place. It’s within walkable distance to all attractions (for me). The view on the street was also very nice!
As the name suggests, the apartment is more suitable than the hotel.
The room was a bit dusty but comfortable.
The only thing I want you to be careful about is the place to actually sleep and the reception building where you check in & leave your luggage.
The receptionist will be the Santi Hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from this Grozuka 21, and I think it will be anxious because there is nothing on the door of this Santi Hotel, but it's okay if you open the door and go to the left. .
YYana MontenegroOur stay was perfect. We were looking for the closest hotel to the airport, as my husband wasn’t feeling well and we missed our flight.
The receptionist were amazing trying to help us with making my husband feeling more comfortable.
Breakfast seems to have a good selection, but unfortunately we couldn’t have it.
Extremely clean rooms.
UUrszula ZiółkowskaA wonderful, cozy apartment in the very heart of Zakopane, a few steps from Krupówki and other attractions. It's very convenient both for hiking and skiing, as it is very easy to get from there to Tatra Mountains trails and ski lifts. Also, a very helpful lady at the main reception desk. I would gladly return to this place.
SSiraI absolutely loved my stay at Stradom House, Autograph Collection. From the moment you enter the lobby and bar, the stunning interior decor sets the tone, and the room itself was spacious, artfully designed, and luxurious yet comfortable, with elegant furniture and a beautiful bathroom—easily a 10/10. My room was located in a separate building accessed through an underground tunnel, which at first seemed quirky but turned out to be utterly charming, as the tunnel itself is beautifully decorated and enchanting to walk through. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious hot dishes made to order from the à la carte menu complemented by an abundant buffet, all enjoyed in a gorgeous breakfast room overlooking a peaceful garden—a truly fantastic way to start the day. The location is another strong advantage, within an easy walk of the Market Square, Wawel Castle, and the lively Kazimierz district. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, style, and unforgettable experiences—I highly recommend it.
GGuest UserHotel is pretty decent for the price.
In terms of positives, the rooms are pretty good. The pool/ sauna are good. I've been to hotels with pools more like paddling pools, but this one you could actually swim lengths in. It was busy around the evening (5-8), but dead in the morning which meant I could have a nice relaxing swim. Reception were nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent enough, though a bit expensive in my opinion. The big downside for a visitor to Krakow is the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Around 20 minutes in a taxi to the centre. There's a bus stop outside the hotel, but the only buses which stop there don't go to the centre meaning a connection is needed. Nearest small supermarket around a 7/8 minute walk and there's a big shopping mall 15 minutes by foot. I stayed for work so was happy enough. First time visitors to the city would be better off getting something closer/ better connected to the centre.
GGine GuyThank you for such a lovely and comfy stay with the outstanding service from the receptionists to the maids, the chefs, the staff, and the mechanic. All my needs and wants fully served perfectly. See you my second home in Krakow❤️❤️❤️
EEliz RahmanOur stay in Krakow was perfect especially the hotel we stayed in was nice and comfortable. We would love to come here again should we go to Krakow in the coming years.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is clean and comfy, perfectly warm for the freezing temperatures outside. Situated right next to Kraków Grzegórzki train station, it was easy to get to/from the airport and to other places via the train as it connects to the Kraków Główny main station.
Staff were helpful, explained where we can go around Kraków. We were given plenty of clean towels, room cleaning service daily. Hair dryer was also provided, with a drinking water dispenser right outside the lift.
Only thing would be the shower as it sometimes pulses between slightly hotter and colder water. Was pleasantly surprised when it’s got heated flooring in the shower though!
SsallyThe positives. The hotel was modern, well positioned from the central square, and the rooms were spotless. The breakfast was good quality with a diverse choice.
The negatives. A member of the cleaning staff walked into my room early morning without knocking. I believe she didn't realise the room was occupied. I was in my underwear in my bed exposed. It caused much embarrassment to me and her. I made a complaint. However, it was brushed aside, and there was no apology. From the staff member at reception. I ordered in food, and when it was delivered by the outside restaurant, it was left to sit at the hotel reception. When I eventually received a call from the desk via my moibile, the meal was cold and ruined. The receptionist claimed she had called my room telephone - she hadn't. Another incident with the cleaning staff, they threw my water bottle away when they cleaned the room. I asked where it was, and they went rifling through the black bags. I was totally shocked that they thought they could put my possession in the garbage.
The staff can be abrupt, Each job sector is very dislocated from the other, so it feels quite cold in the atmosphere of the hotel. If they could address the harmony of the staff, then the place would feel more welcoming.
AalbertltThe location was the best, right next to main station, big shopping mall, and tram stops. The room was modern ( it is either very well maintained or recently renovated ). The breakfast was great. It even provide juicer machine where you can make fresh juice by yourself (choices are: apple, carrot, beetroot). Something that I rarely see even in five stars hotel. The most amazing is the hospitality of the staff. We received welcome wawel chocolate during check in and polish pretzel during check out. Special thanks to the receptionist, Ola for passionately explaining the major tourist attractions in the city ( seriously, you have the talent to become a tour leader ;-) ). Also not to forget special thanks to Anita for recommending local polish restaurant and offered welcome chocolate. Both are amazing staff and I can feel their sincerity when serving guest, so make sure you treat them well Mercure, they are your assets :)
GGuest UserI really liked the Columbus Hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk from Grzegorzki train station, which is the next stop after the main station Rynek, coming from the airport. I was in a twin room with a balcony, bathtub, fridge, complimentary water, toiletries. Lovely, bright and clean, comfy beds and nice bedding. Breakfast was delicious. The scrambled egg and little sausages were so tasty. The cakes were lovely with coffee afterwards. Also cereal, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and breads and juices. Lovely and quiet, never heard a sound from other guests in their rooms. A real calm and relaxed vibe. There's also an outdoor seating area and a shop across the road. The tram stops are just to the side and are so easy and frequent. Ticket machines are at the stop, or you can pay on board. Don't forget to validate your ticket. Great base for exploring the Jewish quarter and ghetto, Schindler Factory Museum and don't miss the Plaszow guided tour, a highlight so far. Tram 3 and 24 takes you there from outside hotel and coats 4 zlotys. They are in the process of building a museum there, so it's going to be much busier in the future. Go now while its not as well known. I would definitely return to Columbus hotel, an excellent choice, enjoy!
