"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia as a solo traveller for 2 years, the amenities and value for money were exceptional, huge rooms by japans standards. Only issue is the location, if you don’t have a car it’s a walk for everything, even the closest konbini is 10-12 minute walk, which isn’t end of the world but it’s not as convenient as used to with Japan. The roads surrounding are not really made for walkingeither, it’s dual carriageways. And getting to the central tourist zone of Nara is a pain, 15 mins to closest bus stop. My train out of Nara was also a 25 minute walk with heavy bags. If the location was better it really would be 10/10."

Hot bath was nive as well. The price is a bit on the higher side compared to regular hotels, but its the experience you get instead, including traditional indoor clothing."

"Overall, my stay was just average.
The front desk staff were not very friendly and lacked basic courtesy, which left a poor impression.
The room cleanliness also needs improvement — there were visible stains on the sofa, and the blanket had an unpleasant odor, suggesting it might not have been properly cleaned.
Even more disappointing, the disposable slippers seemed to have been used before, which is unacceptable.
That said, everything else was fine. The hotel is still one of the better options in this small town, with a convenient location and decent facilities.
The rooftop spa is a nice feature — it’s clean and offers a great view.
If the staff attitude and room hygiene can be improved, this place has the potential to become an excellent hotel."

Just a 1-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station without getting wet in the rain.
Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple’s Great Buddha Hall are also within walking distance.
Located inside a covered shopping arcade, guests can enjoy restaurants and souvenir shops comfortably without worrying about the weather.
The property also features a large public bath, as well as tatami flooring and futon bedding, allowing you to relax while experiencing the charm of traditional Japan.
"Conveniently located near Kintetsu-Nara station.
The place looks a tad old with some wear-and-tear, and the wooden tiles in my room made a creaking sound whenever being stepped on.
Soundproofing was pretty bad – I could hear people walking along the corridor, and voices and sounds coming from neighbours above and below.
Staff did not provide clear instructions on how to self-checkout, i.e. where to place the key as there was no indication around the front desk which was unmanned in the early hours of the morning."

"Forgot to take photos, but this hotel exceeded my expectations! I've always had a slight apprehension about Japanese hotels being small, but this one was surprisingly spacious. The room was fully equipped with amenities, including two air conditioners and a leg massager, which was great for relieving fatigue. The toiletries were a full set of POLA products, and the breakfast was very refined. The only thing that could be improved is that each person only gets one bottle of mineral water per night. Of course, the hotel's location is superb, right between Kintetsu Nara Station and Kofukuji Temple, which is a must-pass route for tourists heading to Nara Park."

"I used it on a solo trip, but the bed was double size and I was able to relax firmly. The unit bath felt that the toilet was small, but the bathtub was a little big and had a handrail.
It would have been nice to have a body towel for amenities. Body soap is also used as a hand soap, and I feel that it has a strong washing power or a strong feeling of cleaning. I was in trouble because I didn't have a hairbrush. I regret that I should have taken it.
Overall it was clean and breakfast was free, so I am satisfied!"

HhoneeThis was my second time visiting Nara, and this time I traveled completely independently. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Coming from Kyoto on the Kintetsu Nara Line, you just walk straight down a bustling shopping and food street from the subway station, and the hotel is right at the end. It has a resort-style feel. There's no hot water dispenser in the room, so if you want hot water, you have to go downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient. I ended up bringing my own water every day. Bus route number 2 stops right outside and is a loop line, making it easy to get to all the attractions whenever you want.

GGuest UserThe room was very new, and having 5 bottles of complimentary mineral water was a nice touch. Being away from the street, the room was quiet. The shuttle bus to the train station every half hour made getting around super convenient. Great value for money.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the station in a quiet area. You can walk to Nara Park and the nearest sights. The room had a teapot, tea, plastic glasses (which is uncomfortable), a fan, a lingerie dryer, bathrooms, lots of towels. But on the layer floor where the bed is very dusty. All the windows and curtains are in dust. Appended a photo.

LLiuyangdepangxieThe front desk staff were very welcoming, and the service was excellent all around. The breakfast had a distinct Nara flavor, and the location was convenient with frequent transportation options, which was a huge plus.
However, the facilities are undeniably dated. While clean, I personally felt the overall experience wasn't as good as hotels with newer facilities. Also, I stayed for two nights, and on the second day, I noticed there was no cleaning service; only the water was replaced and the trash emptied. If cleaning requires putting out a sign, I suggest the hotel specifically mentions this at check-in or notes it on a information sheet. Other hotels I've stayed at, like Daiwa Roynet and Hilton, usually have clear instructions or indicators for this.

LlittlelukelookThis hotel is super conveniently located right next to JR Nara Station, making transportation a breeze. There's a 7-Eleven and a large supermarket next to JR Nara Station, which is really handy. You can also catch a bus right outside the hotel to Nara Park.
The hotel offers many optional services, showing great thoughtfulness.
The onsen (hot spring) experience was generally good. They even provided sleep aids like different pillows and sleep supplements.
My room was quite spacious for one person, though the facilities were relatively simple. The keyless entry with a password lock on the door was great as it meant I didn't need to carry a room card. The hairdryer was a Refa, and it was fantastic!
The best part was definitely the free happy hour at the restaurant in the evenings. There was a wide variety of drinks available, and many guests brought food from the convenience store to enjoy with their drinks.

AAnonymous UserHygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet
Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference
Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. They helped arrange the car to go up the mountain in the morning. It was very lucky to see 👀 deer🦌 on a rainy day
Food: Most of the food arranged is made from local ingredients in Nara. The ingredients are not gorgeous, the taste is OK, and it is more down-to-earth

GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for one night and regretted not staying for two.
The journey from the station was an hour-long bus ride along winding roads, so if you're traveling with a child, pack a bag beforehand, as it can cause motion sickness. From the bus stop to the hotel, it's a 10-15-minute walk (at a leisurely pace). You'll see your name on the sign at the entrance. The hotel is modern, but it creaks when you walk, which is actually a plus. The room is traditionally furnished with two rooms, and they offer complimentary tea. There are plenty of closets, though I couldn't figure out how to turn off one light.
I also recommend booking the room with a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. Everything is delicious and fresh.
There's a small local brewery next to the hotel, which is a nice place to stop in after the onsen in a yukata.

GGuest UserThe room is spacious enough for two large suitcases, but there aren't many power outlets, which is a bit inconvenient. There are no convenience stores nearby; you have to walk a bit to find one. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the JR line, but quite far from the Kintetsu line.
