Beachfront resort but I only got a skylight. Even the bathroom had a better view. The room had 2 beds but linens were removed for one since I was a solo traveler and only 1 towel was provided. No shoes policy helped keep the house clean. That is very good. I didn’t use the kitchen much except to make tea but seems like it is in good condition. Dishwashing liquid however was in a glass jar instead of pump. It’s strange cos you end up using too much for a small spoon and the jar is very slippery. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent! Hot food along with homemade breads. It was the best breakfast I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. Location is an hour drive from Egilsstaðir via some mountain pass, gravel roads and along the coast road. The views are breathtaking. But it’s a small town and if you don’t intend to hike around the area then it might not be worth spending so much time getting to and fro your accommodation.

Wasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!

As Aurora chaser, we can observe from inside the room and keep warm while waiting, of course the best angle is still outside the apartment. Normal sedan car can reach the place despite the road has lots of holes. One of the shared bathroom is using infrared sensor light which is annoying because inside the shower area, the sensor could not detect my presence, hence it always gets dark in the middle of shower and I have to wave my hand outside the curtain. Nevertheless the bathroom has awesome scenery. Kitchen are clean when we arrived, but the tools are abit wear off, they are usable though.

The room was a bit small for my family of three. But the bathroom is very spacious. Room is also clean. Room does not have a kettle but there is a common pantry which was useful. The main issue was check in because the check in was not actually at hotel post itself but at the other hotel next door and instructions were not clearly given. We panicked a bit initially because we reached quite late and could not find a way to get into hotel post. Luckily we managed to call the hotel and was told that check in is in the other building.

We kept talking we are happy because we stay this hotel. and the hotel staff David was very kind and professional. He helped us and gave all the information we needed. Thank you David . Everything was perfect!! My mom was so happy to stay in this hotel. We rested so comfortably and relaxed . She calls this hotel ‘our best hotel’ :) Thank you for giving us this happy memory !!

Very helpful staff on a range of travel information, fantastic. The location beside the harbour beautiful and access to northern lights viewing with excellent staff guidance on where to try. The hotel facilities are complete. It is beyond imagination that the public bathroom is very clean and has no odor. There is only one washing/drying machine. It takes a while for a lot of people. (I waited for almost 2 hours because some people were unconscious. The clothes are left for a long time before they are taken away, which is a waste of my sleep time.) The room is super small. Hostel for accommodation**** when you pass east of Iceland. There are very well equipped accommodation and several common areas. Clean and comfortable rooms. Malely soundproofed, too noise, the rooms give the living room. The shower is small, the toilets and showers are in the lower floor, which generates people accumulating.
