"The room design and location were both perfect for my needs. I chose to stay at Xu during the National Day holiday. I arrived at the hotel around 1 AM on the day of check-in, and the front desk staff upgraded my room type. The next day, there was a larger vacant room of the same type, and they promptly informed me and helped me switch rooms. They thoughtfully asked every day if I needed housekeeping, and actively resolved any minor issues with the room. The hotel is conveniently located in the business district. From the room, I could see the White House and the Twin Towers at night. It's only a two to three-minute walk to the subway station, which was great for getting to the city center and other attractions via public transport."

"The top choice for travel! The receptionist at the front desk was attentive, and the room was fully equipped. It has a TV and a sofa—both very convenient and everything you could possibly need is provided. The mattress had a medium firmness, and the hair dryer was great to use. Breakfast is served until 1 PM, which is a very convenient schedule, and complimentary coffee and cocktails are offered upon check-in. With the subway and bus stations right downstairs, transportation is extremely convenient and accessible. Excellent value for money!"

"This cave hotel is quite famous, and the price is on the higher side. The views are very unique and definitely worth the money! The overall design is special, and the staff are all very attentive and make you feel very welcome. The pool water was a bit cold. The room we chose was quite spacious, and the terrace was also quite large. The light switches were poorly designed; it was either all on or all off. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, and the vent was blowing directly onto the bed. There are some small details that could be improved. The breakfast was quite good, and the hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pristine natural environment."

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. We paid a little more for a city view room, and it was definitely worth it! A stunning view of the twin towers and the park, lovely in the day and evening. The room itself was clean, nicely styled and had all amenities we would need. Location is good, right next to a metro and walking distance to the shopping mall with the funky dolphin haha. Communications with the hotel were also good and they were very helpful. We would stay again!"

"Traveling to Guizhou with my family, I chose this hotel after comparing several options, and the experience was great. The location is incredibly convenient; you can walk to Jiaxiu Tower and Wenchang Pavilion, saving you the hassle and cost of taxis. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views; leaning by the window to watch the city skyscrapers is truly amazing. The hotel's welcome tea was a thoughtful touch, considering Guizhou's humid climate and diet, as it was溫潤 (moistening) and helped cut through richness. Janice's service was attentive and discreet; she wasn't overly intrusive but was always quick to respond when needed. Overlooking Guiyang's night view from the clouds, all the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away."

"A truly deserving high-end hotel! Although it's a guesthouse, the service is absolutely better than any five-star hotel. "The Hwanju Sooong Hotel is impressively clean: there's no odor from the sink drain, no dust collected in the window frame crevices, and you can even feel under the bed without finding any dirt. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; when I asked where to find authentic Doufu Yuanzi on Minsheng Road, they even told me the exact price per skewer. The soundproofing is excellent, as I couldn't hear the toilet flushing next door. Exploring Zhuangyuan Street for food was also very convenient."

"Finally made it to the much-anticipated Maling River, and stayed at Linju. The lovely proprietress immediately upgraded me to a room with a garden, which was cozy, comfortable, and stylish. Just as I was about to walk to the scenic area, she called and personally drove me to the entrance, even giving me two bottles of mineral water. The Maling River waterfall was breathtaking, Linju's comfortable environment brought me peace of mind, and the proprietress's kindness touched my heart. Choosing Linju was definitely the right decision. If I have the chance to visit again, I'll absolutely choose Linju."

"The environment is great, full of ancient charm. The entire courtyard has a classic, antique feel. However, if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, I wouldn't recommend it. It's an old wooden house with high ceilings, and even with renovations, it's pretty much soundproof. But the beautiful surroundings and excellent location make it worth overlooking that one flaw. It's just a minute or two's walk from the Zhongnan Archway, making it super convenient whether you want to stroll around the old town or head to Zhonghuan International. Plus, the staff are really enthusiastic and quick to resolve any issues you might have."

"I took a taxi to the hotel late at night. I had stayed here before and really liked it, so I decided to come back. The front desk staff was super helpful during check-in, and they even upgraded my room, which was amazing! I'm so happy with it. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. MMin malistI love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination.
I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location).
The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable.
✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place:
✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English.
✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings.
✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place.
✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app.
Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too.
✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking.
✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields.
✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin).
✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me.
✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did!
Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms.
On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome!
⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid):
- If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique.
- Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room.
- In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all.
- Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

GGuest UserMe and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had!
There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by.
Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend.
On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix.
It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family.
We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Thank you for taking care of us like your family!!! ＜3
If you are unsure about staying here, there is truly no reason why you shouldn't! Whatever the situation, Li and her family will do everything they can to improve your stay. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

__WeChat235656****We took our one-year-old on a two-day short trip. It was a two-hour drive from Guiyang, and the roads were pretty good. As soon as we arrived at the guesthouse, we could feel the immense enthusiasm from every single staff member; the service was truly excellent! The East Restaurant has baby high chairs, and upon check-in, we received fruit and snacks. Although it was a shame that it rained constantly during our two-day stay, you could still tell the environment here is beautiful. You can feed the sika deer, and there's also a swimming pool. The indoors were also quite clean and hygienic. We definitely want to come back in the summer; it'll be perfect for photos and very relaxing!

YYeung JThe room was spotless, with a lovely Japanese-style feel to it. The toilet was smart, and the shower pressure was strong and invigorating. The bedsheets and duvet covers were incredibly smooth and comfortable.
Although the room was a bit small, it was perfectly functional for our needs!
Plus, there was an abundance of bottled water available for guests to take freely right outside the room, next to the elevator!
The location truly couldn't be better – it's incredibly close to the observation deck, just a 2-minute walk away!
From the parking lot, two young staff members helped us carry our luggage, and their service attitude was excellent. They were smiling and friendly the whole way, even introducing us to nearby attractions.
All the attractions were within a 30-minute walk of the accommodation.
There were all sorts of restaurants everywhere, and many snack stalls along the way! We tried the specialty tofu pudding, fried potato shreds, and more…
There were also many massage parlors. We went for a foot bath after dinner.
But the best part was: our room directly overlooked a sea of lights! We sat on the balcony sofa in the evening, at night, and in the morning, just enjoying the view! It felt almost the same as being at the observation deck itself!
The hotel's restaurant also had hammocks (swings), which were super relaxing! We sat on them in the evening and in the morning – so incredibly therapeutic!
The breakfast provided was also rich and varied, including pho, corn, sweet potatoes, fruit, tofu, and milk!
When we left, the young staff from the guesthouse also helped us carry our luggage all the way to the parking lot. They were just as cheerful and pleasant as before!

GGuest UserI can’t say enough how good this place was. This city is not easy to get to or get out of. and sometimes you need help from innkeeper staff but true Guizhou hospitality shines here. These people. go out of your way and you almost feel like your family to them. In fact, these people treat me better than my family.
The breakfast is so good. It is not a giant buffet or anything, but a made to order masterpiece. The mien tiao noodles are awesome and will get your day off to a good start and wanting a 2nd portion.

The head man in the restaurant the girls on the tables and Susan the cleaner . Not to forget the man who walked us round the fascinating animal garden . We truly had the best time ever . They kindly helped us with our luggage and thoughtfully arranged for our whole family to stay in the same building. All the arrangements were perfect!
I understand that small bugs and mosquitoes are inevitable in the mountains, but I hope some measures can be taken to control them.
Overall, everything was very satisfactory, and it was a delightful family vacation. We will definitely choose your place again next time.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right inside the East Gate. If you get tired from sightseeing, you can simply take the internal scenic area bus back to the hotel. We encountered heavy rain at noon, so we returned to the hotel, took a nap, and then continued our tour.
Exploring from the East Gate to the West Gate was no problem and not too tiring, thankfully we listened to the hotel's front desk advice. That way, we didn't waste the park's prime location by queuing at the West Gate.
The hotel facilities are quite new, and the restaurant is good too. There's also free laundry and drying. The hotel's vehicles are very convenient. I highly recommend this place for families with children who want to avoid getting too tired.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is probably the newest and best-equipped one in Wanfenglin. The newly opened guesthouse didn't have any unpleasant smells, which already surpasses many other guesthouses. The soaking tub in the room was large, and the kids used it several times. The views from the rooms and the guesthouse lobby were excellent, with a large field of rapeseed flowers right outside the door, making the lobby a beautiful spot for photos. The relaxation area on the fourth floor offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The guesthouse was very well-equipped, with plenty of instant noodles, biscuits, snacks, drinks, eye masks, bath sponges, and many other disposable items. They even thoughtfully provided toys, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers for the children. They served dessert in the evening and gave us a tea gift upon departure. They even extended our check-out time to 2 pm! The service was so good that we couldn't fit all the gifts in our suitcases. I highly recommend staying here.
