However the lifts were not the best and could seem cramped at times and without aircon inside wasnt a nice feeling with Manaus being a very hot place to visit. There was a shop inside and that came in handy for provisions and tours could be organised from here so that was great."

"Mural Living has the best hotel breakfast I had the whole time we were in Brazil. It has a youth hostel feel, but large private rooms for a decent price. We stayed one night before departing for our Amazon adventure and slept well in the beds. In the afternoon we visited the square and theatre, and took a boat to see the two rivers meet - all walking distance from the hostel. There is a nice Italian-style restaurant nearby that also does good Amazonas food and seems popular with the locals."
