"A very well situated hotel in the heart of Liege, very reasonably priced when booking in advance - be aware that the facilities are basic but the shower pressure is good and the beds comfortable - I would stay again, but the downsides: -The room was very warm with no AC and a window that doesn't open! -Only two plugs in the room, both on the desk - not near the bed. - No kettle (no tea or coffee making facilities)."

"We stayed two nights in this hotel. The hotel location is better to drive here as they have free parking lot within the hotel. In the dining public area, there are free coffee and tea offered 24hrs, with one microwaver and small fridge which are very practical and nice. The staff are very nice and helpful too."

"Directly opposite the train station, if u are staying along the street u get a great view of the station day and nite. The rooms are simple, nice and functional. Breakfast is definitely better than most of Europe smallish hotel. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Nice sheltered courtyard within the block, good for social interaction."

"The hotel Is slightly outside the city center, however, it is easy to reach with a tram which stops just a few dozen meters from it and runs very frequently. The interior of the hotel is clean, modern and functional, although from a 4-star hotel we would expect some more amenities in the bathroom, such as a shower cap or some cotton disks. In our room everything worked well. The only thing is that for two people we only had one small bottle of water in the fridge, which we shared, and one big towel, which was signalled to the reception and another one was promptly brought to the room. The weirdest (almost unacceptable) thing happened when, upon check-in, we asked the reception if it was possible to eat something at the hotel at that time (about 5pm), the answer was, ”you need to contact the hotel's restaurant yourself”. Surprised but not discouraged, we called the restaurant from our room, just to learn they were not open until 18:30, which was kind of late for us to start a meal as we have tickets for a show at 20:00 at Le Forum. It ended all ok, we found a nice place to eat downtown, but I think that, at a 4-star property, this is an immediate job of a concierge or a reception agent to help guests find their dining options instead of sending them to contact the restaurant directly. Other than that, everything went smoothly, the breakfast was pretty good, the only recommendation is to think of installing another coffee machine, as with the only one available, there were always a few people waiting for their coffee."

"I stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Spa during a solo trip and was very pleased with the choice. The hotel is conveniently located - right in the center of Spa, next to the thermal baths and a green park where it is pleasant to walk and relax. The room was very cozy, clean and well-equipped. I was especially pleased with the spacious bathroom and comfortable bed - everything contributed to a comfortable stay. The hotel has a calm atmosphere, which is especially important when traveling alone. The staff was attentive and friendly, always ready to help and answer questions. Breakfast pleased with its variety: fresh pastries, fruits, hot dishes - everything is tasty and neatly served. For me, this place was a great point for recovery and recharge. If you are traveling alone and looking for comfort and tranquility - Van der Valk Hotel Spa is definitely worth considering. I will be happy to come back again!"

"The hotel was not clear from outside, but were positively surprised from the inner Very quiet, clean and everything fully automatic , doors, gates etc. Check-in was from 15-20 and it went very fast and uncomplicated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very large and incredibly quiet. With an integrated kitchen and table and many desktops it was more than we expected. Bathroom very pleasant and clean. The bed was very pleasant, you could sleep very well. For big people rather too small. The parking was directly on the main road and near the center. In any case, very recommendable."

We hebben een avondmaal in het restaurant genuttigd, zeker een aanrader. Zeer lekker, verzorgd en ruime schotels. Het ontbijt buffet was uitgebreid en zowel zoet als hartig, yoghurt, verse platte kaas, verschillende kaassoorten, gesneden en ongesneden vers fruit, spek en eieren, enz…. Teveel om op te noemen. Voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar."

"The room is very artistic, with an aesthetic experience for adults. The spa is also very good. The deepest and clearest swimming pool I have ever seen in Belgium. The spa is actually mainly for outdoor courses, which often occupy half of the swimming pool. Guests of this hotel need to change into swimwear and bathrobes in the room. The room service is almost zero. Even the disposable chocolates were not refilled for two days, and the water was also 200 or 250 ml Tetra Pak pillow bags. It feels like taking an Eastern Airlines flight."
