From my room, I could see Zhusheng Bridge and the Qinglong Cave ancient building complex. The rooftop cafe offers a beautiful night view, which is a big plus. The hotel 'housekeeper' (concierge/manager) was a very kind lady.

The room was great, with a balcony offering a view. At night, the balcony was illuminated by twinkling colored lights – beautiful! There was also a viewing platform upstairs. The hotel had Miao ethnic costumes available to wear, and the owner's wife was a fantastic photographer, taking beautiful pictures. The fruit and drinks were provided by the owner and placed at the front desk for everyone to enjoy. The owner also explained the scenic area's map, showing you the best routes, and sent the information to WeChat for easy reference. On the morning of check-out, the owner's wife boiled eggs and left them at the front desk for me to take. I was truly touched; it felt like being at a relative's house. The weather in the Miao village was a bit chilly in January, but my heart was warmed. The owner's wife also provided blankets, and the room had air conditioning, disposable face towels, and bath towels. The room was also very clean. The owners and their family were all friendly and kind, and there were two adorable cats. Deserving a 5-star review! Wishing the owners and their family great success and prosperity!

This guesthouse is stunning and amazing at the same time. I work in the tourism field and I have never seen such an amazing and accurated caring for guests. The host and his wife are the nicest persons ever met in my life. Knowledgable in everything, excellent professional hosts who know how to make your trip an amazing and successful trip. Rooms are clean, spacious, with all the amenities a guest needs with a really good sense for the design. At the ground floor they have such a nice space for all guests where people can relax themselves by reading, drinking a good cup of local tea or coffe and simply facing the mesmerising view of the Dong Village and experiencing an indoor campfire. We had a wonderful night around the fire with some new Chinese friends and the host too. We sang all together and there was no language barrier which could stop us. We had such a wonderful moment. One of the best in my life. Breakfast is speechless. Something extremely good with lots of varieties of food. They know how to accomodate every single request. This place is a AAAAA place. Thanks for all the beautiful memories you gave us.

Upon arriving at the guesthouse, we discovered the pipes were undergoing maintenance, and we hadn't been informed in advance. There were an excessive number of mosquitoes, something everyone should really watch out for. It felt like the room hadn't hosted guests in a while, as there was some dust. What was quite frustrating was the extremely weak water pressure; showering was practically impossible, so we just made do. The facilities seriously need an upgrade. The location is excellent, right within the scenic area, and you can take the Wanfenglin sightseeing bus to various viewpoints. The hostess was very kind, and the breakfast was delicious, but the guesthouse's facilities really don't live up to the excellent service provided by the hostess.

I pleasantly enjoyed my stay. The room was decorated well and a wide range of amenities were provided. The room was very clean and finished well to the final touch. Furthermore, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The most important, the room had a great view of the main bridge and is very near to other attractions like the museum. Overall, I properly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely book this hotel again if I ever come back to Zhenyuan Ancient City. It is very worth it and exceeded my expectations.

The wooden decor in the room is absolutely beautiful, and the swing is such a cozy touch. The mattress is incredibly soft, even softer than the ones at Huazhu Hotels in Guiyang, so I slept wonderfully. The noodles made by the auntie for breakfast were also delicious! The owner must be someone who loves cats and runs the place with great care. You can see the thoughtfulness everywhere in the guesthouse, which is a refreshing change from the commercialized main street. I hope they keep up the good work! The staff (young men) were also incredibly friendly – thumbs up! I even stumbled upon a traveler's diary in the room, which showed such great attention to detail and was truly touching. The only downside is that the bathroom could use an upgrade; it feels quite old. When I checked in, there was water on the floor, and even after they helped clean it, there was still water on the ground hours later when I returned to the room, as if it never fully dried. Aside from the bathroom, the room itself has a fantastic vibe. I absolutely loved the swing, the viewing platform, the small bar, and the excellent service. You could easily spend an entire day just relaxing at the guesthouse. However, it is located quite high up, so it might be a bit challenging for elderly guests or those with young children to climb.

I specifically chose to travel in May, avoiding public holidays, and the experience was exceptionally pleasant. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the observation deck, and the scenic shuttle bus stop is very close by. I didn't have to drag my luggage for a long distance, which was a relief since I initially read guides saying it would be exhausting carrying bags. Here, you don't have to worry about that at all. The owner was incredibly welcoming and even came to pick me up personally. They also provided tips on how to explore the area. The room offered a spectacular view; opening the window revealed the entire Miao village. The room was clean and tidy. Being on the mountaintop, it was also quiet, allowing me to sleep in until I naturally woke up. During the day, the shuttle bus was nearby, making it easy to head down the mountain for sightseeing and photos. As night fell, I enjoyed a local specialty drink, accompanied by the beautiful nightscape of the Miao village. Such leisurely and comfortable moments were truly enchanting.

Five stars, highly recommended! Choosing YunTing Luxury when visiting Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village was an absolute win! The location is superb, right next to the observation deck, just a few minutes' walk. Their private observation deck offers even better views than the public one; opening the window reveals a panoramic view of the Miao village, and the evening lights are breathtaking. The rooms are designed in the traditional Miao stilt-house style, with wooden floors and ethnic-inspired soft furnishings. They are clean and have a quality feel. The bedding is soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the soundproofing is excellent, making for a super quiet evening. Each room has a panoramic balcony, allowing you to enjoy the morning mist, sea of clouds, and sunset without even leaving your room – every photo you take will be stunning 📸. And the service is incredibly thoughtful! The butler contacted me in advance to arrange pick-up and proactively helped with my luggage, being warm and attentive throughout my stay. The minced pork noodles for breakfast were authentic and delicious, showing great attention to detail. Whether it's for enjoying the night view, taking beautiful photos, or experiencing Miao culture, this place is flawless. It offers incredible value for money and is a must-stay when visiting Xijiang! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose it again next time!

The room was spacious and clean, with a window offering a view outside and a place to dry clothes. The owners were very kind; the landlady helped us with our luggage and gave us detailed directions on good restaurants, directions to the village, and show times. The room was large and clean, and they provided many amenities not found in other hotels, such as mosquito repellent and disposable face towels. There was also free fruit downstairs, including plums, which was quite delicious. The owners even let us try their wines—a variety to sample. The owners were incredibly kind, providing transportation to and from the hotel and even taking us to the high-speed rail station. Their prices were very reasonable; after comparing several hotels, this was the best. You can also have a barbecue at the owners' place; they cooked some dishes and we ate and drank together. The landlady's grilled chicken wings were delicious and fragrant, even better than barbecue in Shenzhen. The bed was very comfortable and soft. I highly recommend this mountain view room; it's excellent.

The B&B is very close to Bridge No. 1 and not far from where Baidu cars can drop you off, so the location is excellent. They can also help with your luggage. The room has a fantastic view, overlooking the entire Miao village, and the lights at night are especially beautiful. We were lucky to have clear weather, so the daytime view was also superb. It's very convenient to get to the cable car from the Xiaobeimen (Small North Gate). The room itself was very clean and warm, with air conditioning and an electric blanket. It was a really great experience, and the owner even has cute cats!

AAnonymous UserAmbience: The room window overlooks a beautiful rice paddy field. The location is quiet at the end of the village, making it convenient for visiting Tang'an. Cleanliness: Clean, no odors. Service: Excellent. The included shuttle service is extremely convenient. Before your arrival, the customer service will provide recommendations for local food and attractions, as well as some travel tips. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is delicious. The first load of minibar items is free. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind; it's very relaxing.

GGuest UserSince cars aren't allowed inside the ancient town, we had to park in an outside lot. The owner personally drove a motorized three-wheeler to pick us up and help transport our luggage. The river view at night is absolutely breathtaking, and sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze was wonderfully relaxing. This area within the ancient town is incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. What's more, it's super convenient – just a few steps downstairs and you're right in the bustling heart of town.

GGuest UserThe kid 小李 is really helpful. At first I was given a room that was at the adjacent tower and it was under renovation and dark hall ways and stairs. I asked if there was any room in the main block. After feeling disappointed for. While in the room, about 20 mins later, Xiao li informed me he spoke to his boss and gave me an upgraded room on the third floor and we moved. It was a far better well lit, big room with two double beds and good lighting. The only setbacks is that the shower drain is slow and water overflows back into the room. Hot shower was great. There’s no lift but xiao li was very eager to help me carry both my cases. He was just awesome with his willingness and customer service. Final the projector acreen over hangs the toilet and show cubicles and the power cables were loosely overhanging. Seemed that something can be done to rectify those few matters and will definitely make the room so so much better. Location wise is perfect and there is also the direct bus services to the city and the railway station, at very cheap price.

DDutchindisguiseStay end Nov 2025 - solo traveler. The hostal is located in a touristic area with shops and restaurants, about 20 mins taxi drive from Kaili south high speed train station. Nice area. The property consist of a shop and upstairs dorm & guestrooms. Facilities: a common kitchen, bathroom w/squat toilet / shower and a common space aren’t new but good enough. Beds in dorm are hard wooden boards (a thick topper would be good..) lack a curtain & personal light but do have an individual socket and shelf. Consider staying here in winter; there is no heating in the common space/kitchen/bathroom. Doubt if they turn on the airco heating at dorm during day & evening. When I stayed here, it was 1 day very cold and they allowed the airco in dorm to be turned on only at 21:00. Is this a good place for foreigners to stay during other seasons? - I would say ‘yes’ but than again: I speak and understand some Chinese language. Kaili and surroundings (Miao villages) are lovely to visit but might be hard to get to as a foreigner without Chinese language knowledge. Unless you like a challenge and have enough money to pay for individual Didi taxis instead of shared ones. The shop girls did their best, they helped me arrange a taxi to Langde, but they are not trained as receptionists so don't expect too much. I doubt if they speak English at all.

GGuest UserThe geographical environment of the hotel is superior, just two or three hundred places from the ticket gate of Shuanghedong Scenic Area, you can run early in the morning. The surrounding scenery is really comfortable! The parking lot uncle, the hotel receptionist, the restaurant waiter are very good and very enthusiastic, this point is a compliment! The hotel's facilities are indeed old. The faucet of the sink is swayed over and can't be fixed. The reel shelf for toilet paper is rotten directly. It is good to put toilet paper on the toilet. The ground is floor tiles, wet, slippery, easy to slip, this must be paid attention to, especially the elderly slippery is a fracture. To be honest, more than 1,000 room rates, if you look at the room facilities, I think it is worth more than 200! Breakfast is very good, that is, there is almost nothing to eat at nine o'clock, the sauce meat is delicious. Because of the geographical advantage of the hotel, I think the price is more than 500! More than a thousand still have to do a good job of accommodation facilities!

GGuest UserThis is a very cute room with Zen light qualities and a minimalist theme that complements the location. I spent hours just looking out the window admiring the scenery. I encourage you to do the same. People in this province are the friendliest and all of China. This is reflected in the hotel staff.Xijiang Miao Village it’s not an easy place to get to. It is not an easy place to leave. Therefore, the in keeper staff here went out of their way to make my journey a good one. When they were welcoming to the city, arrival in keeper tried to poach me away and had me climbing up 100 m of ancient carved stairs while carrying a heavy bag. I wanted to punch that person when I found out he was an impostor after climbing up to that altitude in sketch conditions. Be weary of such people upon arrival. In contrast, this place is super nice and the staff is super nice . I highly recommend. But it is important to travel light when you visit this village the stairs can be very dangerous when wet, but they are super old.

JJanet, MalaysiaThis homestay is located right at the opposite of Qinglong Cave. From the balcony, we have a closeup view of the Zhusheng Bridge, day and night. We kept the curtain open the entire time as the view is absolutely beautiful. Thank you to the homestay owner who is very friendly and easy to talk to. She picked us up with her cute mini 'car' from the main street as we had 2 heavy luggages. We called her using the free Internet call feature from Trip.com as we didn't have a local phone number. Apparently, the main ancient city street is closed off from cars at certain hours of the day. She was also helpful to contact the taxi driver to send us to the train station on our departure day. There is no Didi service in Zhenyuan city so we had to rely on the local taxi. It's a fuss-free homestay of which we enjoyed very much. Clean, hot shower, comfortable bedding, usual hotel amenities and the absolutely beautiful view from the balcony.

FFatCatMiaoLady boss accommodated my multiple transport arrangement requests and provided recommendations to eat and to explore the village. Very patient, helpful and even offered me a boiled egg to go before I catch my train. Insisted on helping me to carry my suitcase up and down the stairs even though it's heavy and more than half her size. Accommodation is basic but more than sufficient for a lodging in a relatively small remote village area, towels, toothbrushes, body wash and shampoo provided. Western toilet and hot running water. Central location and close to the supermart and Souvenir area. Cosy guesthouse and most importantly, spectacular view! Very quaint and peaceful stay. If you're sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs as it's a wooden house so you can feel and hear movements, as well as chickens cooing in the morning, which didn't affect me. I absolutely love this place!
