I love staying at Tangtao Yard Hostel. The whole place is historic, homey, comfy and tranquillising. I was so lucky to be greeted by a young boy who is the receptionist at the place. He is super helpful and gave me a map detailing all the major scenic spots at Gulangzu. He even told me where I could find great places for local delicacies, making my whole tour memorable and exquisite.
My room was very spacious and quiet. The bedding was spotlessly clean. I fell asleep immediately when l lay on the comfy bed.
I would definitely pay a visit here again. Thanks for everything.

This hotel is where Wu Shi lived for two months before going to Taiwan. It's conveniently located, and the breakfast is pretty good. However, the facilities are just so-so, which is understandable given it's an old building. The water pressure isn't great, and on our last day, there was a pipe burst in Sanfang Qixiang, so we couldn't even shower. I imagine staying here in the summer would be tough due to mosquitoes and other bugs in an old house. Overall, it has a sense of history, and it's an okay experience for a short stay.

This hotel truly lives up to a five-star standard. The service is warm and attentive, the rooms are spotless, and the location is excellent. The young lady at the front desk was particularly outstanding, providing great recommendations for itineraries, travel tips, and local food. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The ambiance is great, and the place is very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and the facilities are excellent. Plus, it's quite conveniently located. I stumbled upon a hidden gem – a sea-view rooftop! It's barely 200 meters from the ocean, offering a truly expansive vista. Just look up and you're met with the boundless sea, creating an amazing atmosphere. From the rooftop, you get an uninterrupted panorama of the sea and sky. It's also a perfect spot to gather with friends and watch the sunrise.

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! This European-style villa completely exceeded my expectations and added countless wonderful memories to our trip.
The exterior of the villa is very grand, with classic European lines and vintage lighting, making it feel as if we were instantly transported to a charming European town. The surrounding environment is serene and quiet, offering great privacy without feeling isolated.
Stepping inside was even more delightful! The interior decoration is exquisite and elegant, brimming with a strong artistic ambiance. The fireplace in the living room (even if decorative), the spiral staircase, and the vintage furniture all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The villa manager was incredibly thoughtful, responding promptly to communications and offering many helpful tips for local sightseeing. They made our stay feel as warm and welcoming as coming home.

The location is excellent, convenient for everything, yet quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. There are many delicious restaurants nearby. The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and there's a large rooftop terrace. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, even turning on the air conditioning before our arrival. It's worth noting that the owner is a martial artist, and his numerous national and international honors adorn the hallways. The lobby is filled with traditional cultural treasures, and I even saw the legendary Gaizi Lion (if I'm not mistaken). It felt full of positive energy, so staying here felt safe and secure.

Except for the location is not easy for taxi to come in (we have to walk around 100m to the big road and it is not convenient for rainy day). Everything was fantastic, the lady owner has great support to us, even in rainy days, she helps us to bring the umbrella to the taxi point. Room are new, nice, spacious. It is also near the tourist attraction.
I reccomend you to come and stay here for your vacation.
The room decor is simple and practical, but the absolute best part is the superb location. It's right inside the scenic area, next to the entrance of the observation deck, and just a stone's throw from Tianluokeng Tulou – super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. The guesthouse owners are incredibly warm and thoughtful, genuinely welcoming. The owner's cooking was a delightful surprise; every meal was well-prepared and delicious. Breakfast was freshly made porridge and fried rice, paired with freshly stir-fried seasonal vegetables – so comforting and satisfying. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
The service was very good, enthusiastic and proactive. This time I went to run a marathon with my friends. The hotel specially arranged breakfast early and arranged a special car to take all runners to the starting point. After the end, there was a special car to pick them up.

We booked 15 rooms for the wedding. After careful selection, we found a great B&B. With private courtyards and sea breeze as evidence, we created a unique romantic world for the newlyweds. The whole building is simple in design, which is super awesome!
The details of the wedding room decoration are fully entrusted. We worked with the B&B owner to decorate it. 15 themed rooms can accommodate close friends and relatives, bathtub twin rooms, and tatami suites, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a leisurely holiday atmosphere.
It takes only 2 minutes to walk to Zengcuo'an Food Street and Huandao Road Beach, and you can switch between wedding and travel photography at will. With a B&B covering weddings, honeymoons, and gatherings with relatives and friends, ”A Dream of Sea View” allows the love story to start gently between the mountains and the sea.
Thanks to such a good B&B, the wedding was warm and romantic! Worth recommending

GGuest UserThis time we chose to stay inside the scenic area. The hotel was well-equipped and very quiet. I was initially worried about mosquitoes, but we didn't even need to use mosquito coils! Our room was upgraded and even more comfortable. After hiking in the evening, we were a bit tired and didn't want to go out for dinner, so the hotel specially prepared a dinner for us, including Hong Kong-style salt-baked chicken! All four of us were very satisfied!
PPoh HongExcellent service from the lady boss and the staff. From the time I contacted her, she sent me lots of information about getting to the guesthouse. More importantly, she followed up with me to ensure that I am on the right track to the guesthouse. This was very much appreciated as I had a flight delay and that messed up my original travel plan. The lady boss was very proactive in ensuring that I find my way to the guesthouse. The lady boss' daugther is very cute and adorable. She shared part of her orange with me and when I told her that I liked it, she went off and got one for me! Even wanted to help me with my luggage but a little difficult as she's only 8 years old.
The guesthouse is located on top of a small hill and lady boss will pick up guests at the bottom of the hill; actually, in my opinion, hardly needed as it's only 10 minutes or less walk up a gentle slope but she does the pickup as part of the service that they offer.
The room is very nice and clean. The toilet is western style and has a very nice touch - spot lights are installed on the toilet ceilings and when the nights are cold, you will really appreciate the warmth from these lights after coming out from your shower!
And finally, they will drive guests out to 2 of the best viewpoints for the Tianluokeng cluster at no additional charge.

XXihuanfeixiangdezhuOverall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
GGuest UserThe guesthouse has a beautiful exterior and is easy to find; the pictures sent by Sister Fang made it very easy to locate. The room was cozy and clean, fully furnished, and very comfortable. Sister Fang was very kind and considerate. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and the place was very well cleaned. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.
MMonsterOnVacaySpending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time.
The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful.
The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring.
Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.
GGuest UserOnly those who understand Gulangyu will choose this place. Located in the center of the island, not in the bustling downtown, it is convenient and free from the hustle and bustle of the commercial city. Needless to say, Chuncaotang is beautiful. Chuncaofan is from the same family as it. Just below Chuncaotang, Gulangyu's only open-air swimming pool and sightseeing elevator were moved into his private residence. Here you can feel the comfortable, refined and elegant life of our ancestors. It is very worthwhile, and I also want to give a big thumbs up to the housekeeper👍
SShiahanga!A hundred faints! ! ! Living in an earth building is a very special experience (many earth buildings in scenic spots do not allow people to go upstairs, so you have to pay to go upstairs! You can live here directly). I came here before the National Day. I was very lucky that only two people stayed in the entire earth building. , Hahaha, very quiet and a great experience! The store did a great job in upgrading the room type. I would like to praise the lady at the front desk by name! The person was super nice and even gave us grapefruits and recommended the itinerary in great detail! Went to Tianluokeng to see the rice terraces which were very beautiful! A great experience

GGuest UserThis inn is operated by an middle age couple.
The couple is very friendly and helpful and easy going.
After confirmed booking, the owner immediately contacted me to understand better on our needs.
The owner even upgraded our rooms to a much bigger room at no extra charge.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable & clean.
We had our dinner at the inn. The wife is a good cook. The food is nice at a reasonable price.
We also had our breakfast here. They charge a very budget price, only rmb10 per pax for the breakfast.
We feel at home when staying here & the stay is really comfortable.
Wil choose to stay here again.
