"Honestly, the best thing that happened to me on this trip to Beijing was choosing this hotel! 😭 The two ladies at the front desk, the manager, and the aunts and uncles who cleaned the rooms were all so warm and incredibly kind. They were always ready to help with anything I didn't know about the city and offered fantastic suggestions and advice for my trip. Plus, they even provided a complimentary breakfast in the mornings, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch. The breakfast itself was delicious and made every morning feel so happy. It's also super convenient to get to Tiananmen Square from here; you can just walk. When I leave Beijing this time, I won't miss the city itself, but I will truly miss all the wonderful people at this hotel. I'm already thinking of them! 😭❤️ I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Beijing! 😭😭😭😭"

"I took my child to do some work nearby and stayed in the south city, which was a bit far. After screening, I chose Youyou, a very warm and cozy hotel. The child liked the outdoor leisure area downstairs very much and said he would stay there again next time."

"Have long been a fan of the Orchid and often visit the restaurants co located there - Toast and TBS are favourites. As such, with family visiting the Orchid was the obvious choice! An amazing location tucked in the Hutongs near the Bell and Drum towers. Both in the surrounding area and venue itself, spoilt for choice for food and restaurants. Room was cosy, clean and beautifully decorated. Two very friendly cats too. Staff genuinely fantastic and went above and beyond throughout our time there - thank you! The only fault - and reason for ranking amenities lower currently - is that there is significant work taking place at the reception (March 2025). I was aware of this having visited Toast in Feb however, had hoped this would’ve been completed by our stay and was disappointed at still being charged at the full rate given this disruption. In addition to a crowded check in / lack of communal space, this also meant rerouting through the restaurants (and up / down winding stairs), so one to note for anyone with accessibility requirements. Nevertheless a great stay and hope to be back again soon!"

"The location was easy to find. It was quieter since it is situated a little away from the activities at the base. However it is at the entrance of the Great Wall tram gate, so very convenient for an early start, or an evening tour of the Wall. My stay was midweek over Christmas and the whole town was relatively quiet. This meant the Hot Springs were also quiet which was spectacular! The rooms were a little chilly at night, but a soak in the springs and a little peach blossom wine solved it. I highly recommend this Inn. They were happy to use their translation apps to answer any questions."

"When reversing in Beijing, you need to stay overnight for the transition. We arrived at nearly 11pm and there was still someone at the front desk. The room was clean, but too small. It was difficult to turn over in the bed with a child. There was no place to eat breakfast nearby. It took 12 or 13 minutes to walk to find a breakfast shop. Finally, we went to the West Station to eat."

"Located right within the ancient town, adjacent to the Eight Banners Guild Hall and very close to Simatai Great Wall. However, getting around is quite convenient thanks to the shuttle bus service. The rooms possess an antique charm, perfectly aligning with the ancient town's unique character. From the window, you can witness the winding Great Wall, a truly expansive and spectacular view. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with options like coffee, noodles, and wontons available for advance order, all complimentary. Highly recommended!"

What's more, the transportation network here is incredibly comprehensive and simply perfect. Whether you're heading to Beijing North Station for high-speed rail or connecting at the Xizhimen transportation hub, both are just a short ride away, ensuring seamless transitions for your onward journey. For tourists keen on exploring the city, it also serves as an ideal base, offering easy access to Haidian District's many tech parks and prestigious universities. After a busy day, the hotel's comfortable and quiet ambiance provided the perfect retreat. The professionalism and friendliness of the front desk staff also added a significant touch of warmth to my stay. It perfectly marries the efficiency required for business with the convenience sought by travelers. I highly recommend it to all business travelers and tourists looking to explore Beijing efficiently. This truly was an outstanding value-for-money stay!"

"The hotel is the only hotel facing the main street of Nantongluo Lane. It is quiet as soon as you enter the door and bustling as soon as you open the door. It is 500 meters away from the subway, convenient for shopping and snacks, and Houhai is just ahead. The room without windows is also quite large and doesn't feel depressing. The room does not have central air conditioning but a cabinet unit, which affects sleep a bit. Also, the sound insulation is a bit poor."

"✨ A Hidden Gem by the River in Gubei City ✨ This charming little hotel in the heart of a picturesque Chinese water town is an absolute treasure! The owners are wonderfully kind and do everything they can to make guests feel at home. When we forgot to set an alarm, they gently woke us so we wouldn’t miss breakfast — which, by the way, is fresh, delicious, and prepared exactly to your wishes. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner right at the river’s edge while watching gondolas glide quietly past — an unforgettable sight. From our room, we also had a breathtaking view of the Great Wall. A place full of peace, warmth, and genuine hospitality. We only wish we could stay longer. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a truly special experience in China! 🌿✨"
