The rooms possess an antique charm, perfectly aligning with the ancient town's unique character. From the window, you can witness the winding Great Wall, a truly expansive and spectacular view. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with options like coffee, noodles, and wontons available for advance order, all complimentary. Highly recommended!"

"Excellently located Airbnb-like apartments without any washing machines and a small lobby. The room we got wasn‘t particularly clean so we borrowed a mop and some other utilities to clean it ourselves. Still very good for a short stay in Beijing, since it‘s right at the city center within a cute little district with lots of shops, cafés/bars and restaurants nearby."

"Nice service. Good staffs. Although the staff don’t speak English, they tried their best to help and were very kind. The only thing is that you need to climb up the stairs to reach the hotel, which might be a bit difficult if you have big luggage or are small in size. However, you can always ask the staff for help."

"Room is generally clean with very basic facilities. We have been trying to contact the motel quite a few times before and after booking in order to confirm the view, they've never replied. Do not expect a warm hospitality, once you checked in, you are required to order the food item you want for next day breakfast on the spot and being reminded 'don't order too much' 😥。 If you don't speak mandarin or fluently, don't expect a welcome. And they would remind you repeatedly checkout time the day before that you would stay tiptoe in the whole stay on everything."

"This is not the first time I have been to Gubei. Last time I came here, I saw this riverside hotel and had a meal here. It was delicious. At that time, I saw that they had a room with a balcony facing the river, so I thought about finding an opportunity to stay there. I used to stay in boutique hotels. This time I booked this room as I wished. It really met my expectations. It was very good. Facing the river, I drank tea leisurely in the afternoon. The next morning, I opened the window and felt like a morning in the south of the Yangtze River. There were mountains, water, trees, and geese and ducks playing in the water leisurely outside the window. The location of the hotel is the center of Gubei. It is very convenient to go anywhere. It is also close to the shuttle bus. There is a snack street outside the door, and Sun Moon Island is across the bridge. The breakfast of the inn is also delicious, and lunch and dinner are also recommended. It is really good."

"Good for foreigners as it is very easy to find. It’s the first stop of the shuttle bus. It’s location is perfect, close to restaurants and shops. The rooms are big and very clean, I got a very nice view of the lake. My family enjoyed it very much and the staff at the restaurant and at the hotel were friendly and cheerful. "Xichen is well located near the Simatai Great Wall and the 2 main performance areas for the light show and drone show. The staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spacious and breakfast is good too. We would highly recommend this hotel if you intend to spend a night in Gubei Water Town."

"It was a great accommodation experience. The rooms are consistent with the pictures. No need to elaborate, just look at the pictures. I stayed on the 3rd floor for more than ten days and didn't feel any sound insulation problems. This hotel is full of details and is no worse than a business hotel. The housewife cleaned very carefully, and the girls at the front desk were all cute🌷🌷The location is also great, very close to Longze Station. The only flaw is that there is no elevator, but there is someone to carry the luggage. Overall it's super👍"

"The hotel is in perfect location. It’s near to the pick up location, and the entrance to the cable car to the Great Wall, to the best part of the town, as well as some restaurants. The hotel has old aesthetic design and comfortable bed. They also served a perfect Chinese breakfast."
