This is a very nice place to rest not only for couples but also for lone travelers who wanted to escape the stressful workloads from their jobs and to move on from things that makes their living heavy
Old Orangewood Bed & Breakfast

I understand why this place had equal good and not-so-good reviews. If you plan to book a room, choose the ones with windows. The rooms are quite small to begin with and it would be worse if you take those locked-in inner rooms, which feel claustrophobic. We were quite unlucky to stay during bad weather, forcing us to stay indoors and there was basically nothing to do. You can't even while away the time with sightseeing. It is also important to have your own car if you book at this place. I think the jeepney routes don't pass the area and taxis are also few. Since it's quite far from the tourist spots with narrow, descending roads, don't expect a leisurely walk. There's not much to expect of the free breakfast, with limited choices of rice with either daing, corned beef or longanisa, served plated and in very small portions. Old Orange wood looks cozy and homey, if indeed it's your regular home, but not as a rented transient place, which I can imagine would be too cramped on a brisk booking day. Overall, don't expect too much.

Quite disorganized. Triage slip - this is an important piece of paper that a traveller should always bring especially when going to Camp John Hay area. I was asked by the receptionist to hand her the triage slip when we were checking in. I thought it must be submitted to them that’s why it wasn’t returned to me. When we travelled to John Hay, we were blocked at the gate because we didn’t have it. We went back to the hotel and asked about it. The receptionist struggled to find it but eventually found it. Hotel luggage cart - we were about to go to our room and asked for assistance since we have a lot of bags/luggages with us. We waited for so long because they seemed struggling to find the cart, so we decided to go without it. Housekeeping request - on our third day, we called at the lobby to schedule cleaning and replacing everything that needs to be replaced. We were out the entire day and hoping the room is clean when we return, but to our surprise, nothing happened. A staff forcibly opening the door - early in the morning when we were still sleeping (and haven’t had enough sleep), someone was trying to open the door, and since it’s taking a while, I decided to rise up, went to the door and opened it. The staff apologized and said it was a mistake. I never got back to sleep and was not feeling well the entire day. Breakfast - I don’t know if it’s normal but I find it such a hassle to always get a coupon from the lobby daily, and present it to the cafe every morning. The time we plan to take breakfast everyday is also being asked. I know this is to manage/forecast the flow of requests, but one day when we weren’t able to show up on time, someone from the cafe called us to know what time we will eat. I appreciate the concern, but it was just about 8:30am, and what if we were still sleeping? We felt pressured to go down and eat, and that’s what we did. Friendliness - not all, but most of the staff are not used to greeting people. Other than these, there are still good things about this place, such as the location. It’s within the city center, so it’s easy to go around. The area feels safe as well.

Venus Parkview Hotel

Kudos to all the staff, very helpful and accommodating. Just want to give feedback with regards to amenities especially the rooms itself though its clean I think it needs a little upgrade like the color of the bathroom tiles. But everything is good, the buffet breakfast is delicious, staffs were very kind, the interior of the Hotel Lobby is extravagant.

We stayed at room 511. We requested for slippers and it was immediately given. Pillows have some hairs as if it's not changed. We had hard time turning on the tv. We need to very long press the on/off button in order to function, sometimes it won't function at all. Place is pretty decent. We rented the room for 12 days but we stayed for 8 days bec. we need to go to our province as unplanned. Two plastic bottles of water, 1 sachet of shampoo and 1 small bathsoap and 1 tissue was given. I requested for another 2 plastic bottles of water and tissue the other day and they gave it. If I will not request they will not issue anything, which means for the duration of 12 days, only the above mentioned will be given only once. No electric kettle but they have water dispenser on the 3rd floor hotel reception. Location is good bec. it's in the baguio central district.
