Shenjiang Village: Spring’s Secret Charm

#springwander Beyond the allure of Duzishan, Shenjiang Village unveils another treasure—its captivating reed fields. With soft sways in the breeze, these reeds mirror the quiet elegance of early spring in Dali, a beauty tucked away from the more familiar sights. This hidden corner feels like a gentle embrace of nature’s seasonal grace, where every step invites reflection and a sense of discovery. Cycling in Dali? Start here!

Cycling in Dali? Start here!

Cycling has become increasingly popular, and circling Erhai Lake by bike in Dali is an exceptional experience. If you plan to cycle in Dali, be sure to start at Xingsheng Bridge. Located on the southwest side of Erhai Lake, Xingsheng Bridge spans the Xi'er River, connecting Dali Town and the Erhai Ecological Corridor. Its unique design evokes a European city, making it a popular photo spot for tourists. 🌅 Stunning Sunrises and Sunsets * Best viewing times: 6:30–7:30 am (depending on the season) and 6:00–7:30 pm. * In the morning, as the sun rises, Erhai Lake shimmers, reflecting the dawn light. The fresh air is perfect for a peaceful morning ride or a leisurely stroll. * In the evening, the bridge faces the Xi'er River, and the setting sun casts a golden glow on the water through the clouds, creating a dreamy atmosphere over Erhai Lake and the distant Cangshan Mountain. 📸 Best Photo Angles 1. From the bridge, overlooking Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake: Stand in the middle of the bridge and look east for a panoramic view of Erhai Lake. 2. From the lakeside below the bridge: Shoot upwards from the lakeside path below the bridge. The elegant curve of the bridge and its reflection in the lake create a symmetrical, European-style image. 🚴 How to Reach Xingsheng Bridge * Cycling: From Dali Ancient City, head south for about 30 minutes. The road conditions are excellent. Cycling on the Erhai Ecological Corridor is recommended, as it's free of motor vehicles and offers beautiful scenery along the way.

A secluded retreat in Dali, perfect for a relaxing getaway!

A secluded retreat in Dali, perfect for a relaxing getaway!

Located on Jinsuo Island in Erhai Lake, Dali Qingpu Hotel has been in operation for over 10 years and is one of my favorite hotels in Dali. The hotel is located on Jinsuo Island, and can only be accessed by boat, making it a hidden gem in the fishing village. With its excellent waterfront location and privacy, it is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway in Dali. 1. Upon arrival, the hotel staff will personally greet you at the pier and warmly send you off when you leave. From the moment you change into your exclusive shoes, you will be immersed in the world of Qingpu. The hotel's overall atmosphere is consistent with its rustic architectural style, understated and restrained, with interior design and courtyard landscaping that exude a Zen-like quality. The landscape design and layout are reminiscent of Japanese rock gardens, small and tranquil, with a calming effect. 2. It is worth mentioning that every detail of the hotel's space, from the plants and moss to the tea ceremony and flower arrangements, is personally managed by the hotel's owner, Yang Xiu, and the operators. They design and maintain the hotel's landscape almost every day, taking care of the flowers and plants and cultivating moss. The hotel is a labor of love and passion for them. Their aesthetic taste determines the hotel's style, which is simple and understated, creating a silent atmosphere. 3. The hotel's enclosed public spaces include outdoor seating for meditation or yoga, indoor tea rooms, study rooms, boutiques, restaurants, corridors, and more, all exuding elegance and tranquility. Guests can enjoy a leisurely and peaceful time, whether sipping tea and chatting or reading a book. 4. Dali Qingpu has only 6 suites, all facing south with unobstructed views of Erhai Lake, offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. During my two-night stay at Qingpu, I experienced two different room types, Qing San and Pu Yi, and enjoyed the excellent views. The rooms are equipped with five-star quality amenities, including Dyson hairdryers, Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers, SONY TVs, and Calmac bath products, providing a comfortable and high-quality stay. The waterfront location ensures a good night's sleep. 5. In terms of dining, guests can enjoy local Bai cuisine prepared by local Bai women, which is homely and delicious. The service is impeccable, with the front desk, housekeeping, and cleaning staff all being native residents of Jinsuo Island, many of whom have been with the hotel since its inception, adding a personal touch to the hotel. 6. A secluded retreat in Dali, perfect for a relaxing getaway! Dali Qingpu is dedicated to beauty and service, and has maintained its reputation for 10 years without asking for reviews, earning a zero-negative review reputation, which is rare. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the world.

Dali’s Hidden Charm: Tradition Meets Tranquility

Dali’s Hidden Charm: Tradition Meets Tranquility

#chinatrip Dali Old Town is a perfect blend of heritage and beauty. Passing under the majestic stone gate, I entered a world where traditional Bai culture thrives. The narrow streets were lined with unique shops and inviting cafes. Willow trees swayed gently as locals and visitors strolled by. One of my highlights was the Old Bai Nationality Family Restaurant. The food, prepared with authentic recipes, showcased the local flavors. Pair your meal with a cup of Bai-style tea for a truly local experience. What made Dali even more special was its slower pace. Despite being a popular destination, there’s a calmness that encourages you to linger longer, appreciating the intricate woodwork of buildings and the earthy aroma of street food wafting through the air. If you’re a fan of history, architecture, and peaceful exploration, Dali Old Town is a must-visit. Take your time to soak in the cultural vibes and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Bai people.

Why not head west to Dali?

Why not head west to Dali?

📅Travel itinerary: Recommended two to three days of self-driving tour. Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas - Cangshan Mountain - Erhai Lake - Longkan Wharf - Dali Ancient City - Erhai Lake Tour - Santorini Flower Sea 🚗Self-driving tips: You can rent a small electric scooter around Dali Ancient City for 30 yuan a day, which allows you to freely roam the ancient city and also go to Longkan Wharf and the popular S Bay; for the Erhai Lake tour, it is recommended to rent a small car. I rented a Toyota RAV4 for about 170 yuan a day on Ctrip, which is quite cost-effective. However, there are many cars at the scenic spots along the way, and parking costs 10 yuan each time, which added up to forty or fifty yuan for an afternoon. ⛱️Must-visit attractions: Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas, Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake Tour 🏨Accommodation guide: Stay in the villa area near Santorini, where you can have a direct view of the sea and enjoy the breeze. The price is about 400 yuan per night. 💗Other tips: Make sure to protect yourself from the sun.

Dali | A designer hotel so beautiful that I want to stay for a month!

Dali | A designer hotel so beautiful that I want to stay for a month!

Recently stayed at the newly opened Daji Hotel in Dali. Super beautiful rice field landscape + first-class design and quality. After checking in, neither me nor my friends feel like going out to play anymore! . Hotel location is in Yinqiao Town, between Dali Ancient City and Xizhou. Closer to Xizhou, but much quieter here than Xizhou. Surrounded by pastoral scenery at the foot of the mountains, tranquil and healing. When the weather is good, the feeling of being in a manga is max. . The hotel was designed by the famous designer Mu Xi Da Li, under the guidance of the 80-year-old teacher Ba Xun. Whether in the room or in the public area, the use of light and shadow is particularly exquisite. Every corner exudes the ultimate aesthetics of light, shadow, and space. Matched with the furniture from Episode One, the overall style is both high-end and relaxed. Makes one want to just lounge in a hotel, bask in the sun, and watch the clouds roll by. . The Xitang Restaurant in the hotel exceeded expectations. Mainly serving fusion cuisine with Western dishes, delicate and delicious. Especially the Guoqiao Mixian for breakfast, it's like a soothing balm for the soul! Don't be too comfortable dining facing the rice fields and shimmering ponds. Anyway, this is the hotel where I want to stay for a long time in Dali. I will come back next time! . .

🇨🇳Travel to Dali: Finding Peace in Paradise

#chinatrip Just came back from Dali- a chill town that has left an indelible mark on me. I can't forget the serene beauty, the welcoming places to stay, and the delightful local cuisine that made my visit truly unforgettable.🥹 Here’s my recommendation if you happens to visit Dali: 🏨 Hotel to stay: 📍大理青橙小院 Dali Qingcheng Xiaoyuan(Trip.com) 🗒️No. 60, Society 7, Yangbo Village Committee, Yinqiao Town, Dali City, Dali, Yunnan Price: Around 75sgd per night Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🩷Located near the peaceful er sea and just a 10-minute ride from Dali Ancient Town, complete with friendly staff and complimentary pick-up from Dali Railway Station. Its proximity to the lake offered easy access to picturesque bicycle trails, making it an ideal base for exploring and unwinding in Dali. 🍽️ Food to eat in Dali Ancient City 1. 幸会小仙女·自助石板烧·野生菌火锅(大当家店) 📍Beside 洱海门 Price: around $10+ per pax Known for its mushroom hotpot, this dining spot prides itself on a broth that's rich, aromatic, and deeply flavorful, perfectly complementing the array of fresh ingredients available for dipping. The standout feature truly is the mushroom soup base, a testament to the chef's skill in harnessing the essence of local wild mushrooms to create a broth that's both comforting and complex. The ingredients are fresh too. 😙 2. 大理老渔家白族石板烧 📍玉洱路 Price: around $10+ per pax Stone grilling elevates cooking to an art form here. Ingredients, fresh from Dali's landscapes, are seared on heated stones, ensuring flavors are locked in with a perfect, crispy outer texture. This method not only cooks food evenly but also infuses it with a unique, earthy essence. The two pax meal is just enough for two of us without ordering more. 😋 Dali is such a food paradise and I can’t wait to visit it again! #DaliAdventures #ErhaiSunrise #CulinaryJewels #DaliEats #TravelYunnan #HeartMansionCafe #GourmetTravel #PhotoReadyDali #SunsetSips #YunnanBites
