As a brilliant and unique flower of Jiangnan culture, Suzhou Pingtan is well-known at home and abroad for its unique artistic charm and profound cultural heritage. The performance of Suzhou Pingtan is usually completed by two artists, one of whom plays the sanxian and is responsible for the accompaniment; the other holds the pipa, plays and sings, and intersperses with narration, telling touching stories one after another. These stories are often taken from ancient legends, folk tales and historical allusions. Through the vivid interpretation of the artists, the audience is brought into a world full of emotions and wisdom. The singing of Pingtan is beautiful and melodious, with melodious and graceful melodies. It has the softness and delicacy of the Jiangnan water town, and does not lose its unique artistic charm. The lyrics of Pingtan contain rich historical knowledge and life philosophy, allowing the audience to be influenced and enlightened by culture while being entertained.

5h | Encounter the "Red Ribbon on the Sea". Planned to appreciate autumn in Tianping Mountain in Suzhou on the weekend, but was scared off by the crowd's photos, and ended up going to Yangcheng Lake, surprisingly found a red floating bridge nearby, the aerial view is like a red ribbon floating on the water, very artistic. ❤️Located on the south side of Yangcheng Lake, "Dongsha Lake" is the largest park in the Suzhou Industrial Park. There are many peninsulas along the lake. The most conspicuous is a red floating bridge with an S-bend on the east side. Walking on it doesn't feel much, but the aerial view is really amazing, especially when the weather is good, the lake water looks blue to the naked eye, like a red ribbon floating on the "sea". 🤎This park is more like a community park for nearby residents to walk and stroll. There are not many people on weekends, but the scenery is not inferior to other large scenic spots. It also has the beauty of autumn, the lakeside has a large area of Taxodium distichum, plane trees and Miscanthus, as well as the changing color of Acer triflorum, the transition of red, yellow and green is like an oil painting. 🌟Dongsha Lake Ecological Park 📍Wuzhong District, Suzhou City 🅿️6 yuan/hour, free within half an hour 💡Red floating bridge location You can see it when you enter from the northeast gate and turn right Self-driving 🚗 can only park at the southwest gate, then walk along the east side

Charming Suzhou !

Suzhou Museum 🏯An appointment is needed to enter the museum , it is advisable to book the appointment at least two weeks in advance as this is a popular spot in Suzhou and the appointment slots are booked up really quickly. 🚆I live in suzhou , so I'm not able to recommended hotels located near the museum . Traveling to Suzhou from a another city , I'd say arrive at Suzhou Railway Station and then get a didi to the Museum . 🚶🏾♀️🚶🏾♀️I can say, it's a nice idea for a day trip for those who live within Jiangsu. The silk museum and The Humble Administrator Garden, are within close proximity , one could visit at least two of these locations on the same day . The metro line 2 is about 10mins walk from the Museum . ⏰️To view all the displays plus take a few pictures might take around 3 hrs. Do stay until evening , when the lights come on , the view is amazing then ! I'd say book the 4pm appointment. It will be a bit crowded at that time , but it really is really hard to avoid the crowd ,despite the time of day or night. 👁 Things you'll see inside : Porcelain bowls from the Ming Dynasty 1403 A.D., Nephrite Ornaments from the Qing Dynasty 1644, Silk Embroideries, the pride of Suzhou, among other beautiful well preserved artifacts. Happy travels ! #staycation #historicallandmarks #urbanexplorer

Strolling in Suzhou: Gong Alley, Guanqian Street, May 30th Road, People's Road

Before the plum rain season arrives, take another walk in the center of Suzhou. Coming out of the subway station, I turn from Ganjiang Road to Gong Alley and arrive at Guanqian Street. After visiting the Xuanmiao Temple, I have lunch at Eunuch Lane. In the afternoon, I walk along May 30th Road to the Suzhou Great Park, and when I come out and see there's still time, I stroll to Yi Garden for a visit, passing by the former residence of Zhang Taiyan to take a look. After a full round, it seems that the content is quite rich.

Suzhou at night! (moon bay)

You might wonder why this place is called moon bay, and well while I’m not sure that this is the perfect meaning as to why, but I like to think that it’s because of the design of this section of town. From the ground level it looks like any typical city with the Highrisers buildings and the hotels and may cool structures. however when you look from above you can see the real design here you can really see this crescent shaped bay, which I feel is absolutely beautiful. it’s located near the south east of the Dushu lake and is a place that isn’t too famous but is a really beautiful place. there is also this open field area where you can have a nice picnic. #momentsmission #christmasgiveaway #nationalpark #scenicspotguide #travelinspiration #urbanexplorer

Pingjiang Road in Suzhou like a Painting🇨🇳

#cherryblossom2024 🌸 The travel in Suzhou has a great aftertaste, and if you don't listen to my true feelings, I feel like entering Suzhou all morning, with eyes full of Jiangnan. The garden bridges and towers, water smoke alleys and alleys, Wu Zhao Pingtan, and all of them look like drunken Jiangnan. No wonder the ancients were all vying to praise Suzhou! If you only have two days and one night, then follow this attack, go for a run to Pingjiang Road, blow the night breeze of Shantang Street, and feel the city of Gusu in Tang and Song poetry~

The Venice of the East 🛶 🏮

One of my favorite pastimes for when I visit the Pingjiang Lu, is to watch these people row down and up this amazing canal. these waterways are located in the beautiful city of Suzhou in China and Suzhou’s is popularly known as the Venice of the east. why is it known as that, well that’s because of it's many water canals and bridges around the city! fun fact, more than 42% of the city is covered in water. scattered across the city you’re gonna see so many of these canals and waterways in different spots and this particular location is no different. Here are some of the amazing photos that I got while exploring this spot.#suzhou #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #ancienttowns #ancientarchitecture #suzhoutravel #suzhoulandmark

The treasured place visited six times by Emperor Qianlong!

The treasured place visited six times by Emperor Qianlong!

Dear friends! 😃 Today, let's take everyone to see the ancient town of Mudu, a thousand-year-old town! Mudu Ancient Town has a long history of more than 2,500 years. Emperor Qianlong visited the south of the Yangtze River seven times, and he chose this place six times. 😜 Why did Emperor Qianlong favor Mudu Ancient Town so much? It's because this ancient town is truly charming. The town is crisscrossed with waterways, ancient stone bridges, and traditional houses with white walls and black tiles built along the water, creating picturesque scenery. 🎑 Moreover, the town is rich in products, the market is bustling, and it is full of a strong sense of life. 🎉 Recommended attractions: Yanjia Garden, ticket price 40 yuan. The garden has beautiful landscapes and exquisite layout. 🌟 Hongyin Shanfang, ticket price 20 yuan. The architecture is grand and has a unique charm. 💖 Gusong Garden, ticket price 20 yuan. The ancient pines are tall and complement the elegant buildings. 🌳 Travel tips: The combined ticket price for the three attractions is 78 yuan. 💰 The route can be arranged like this: first go to Lingyan Mountain, which is free to visit and enjoy the natural scenery. 🌄 Then stroll along Shantang Street to feel the lively atmosphere of the ancient town. 🎇 Next, visit Yanjia Garden, Hongyin Shanfang, and Gusong Garden in sequence. Food recommendations include Cangshu mutton and Wumi rice, both of which are delicious. 😋 For accommodation, you can choose the characteristic inns in the ancient town, with prices generally ranging from 200 to 500 yuan. 💒 Transportation is also quite convenient. You can take Metro Line 1 to Mudu Station, then transfer to a bus or take a taxi to the town. There are also bus lines like Route 2 and Tour Route 4 that go directly to the ancient town. 🚌 Visiting Mudu Ancient Town will make you feel like you've traveled back in time, deeply experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Jiangnan. Come and experience it for yourself!
