The location of the homestay is very close to the food district. You can walk to the famous 'Guohua Street' and 'Shennong Street' which are full of delicious food. The design of the building drew inspiration from Delonix regia and its conspicuous pentagonal contours certainly helped to turn the architecture into a cultural landmark that embodies Tainan. If you are not an “art” person, no worries, other than its art galleries, there is a cafe opened at the 5th floor where you can enjoy the cafe and take the instagrammable photos !! Tainan's 300-year-old street - Gonghou Street - Drum Tea House.

As a local Tainan resident, I am also a fan! Listening to drum performances and enjoying Tainan delicacies in a historic old house is truly a pleasure. Besides the performances, there are also delicious foods, tea snacks, and even a guided tour of the historic site after the meal. It's a great way to experience the chill vibe of Tainan people. The cost of such activities is also very affordable 🤭🤭 It's definitely worth bringing friends from out of town to experience it.

Tainan｜Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum.

A museum located in the Shanshang District of Tainan, about an hour's drive from Tainan City. It just celebrated its 5th anniversary, making it a relatively new attraction! Covering an area of 20 hectares, the park is filled with old trees and not too many visitors, making it a very comfortable spot. Upon entering the park, there is a small train you can ride for 50 TWD per person. The ride is quite short, roughly a 10-minute walk distance (from the entrance to the plaza beverage section). The driver provides a brief introduction, and you arrive at the destination quickly. Most people feel that the 50 TWD fare is unnecessary 🤣. If the train could cover more areas, it would greatly enhance the willingness and satisfaction of the ride. The various museums within the park are well-maintained, and there are some interactive installations and introductions. It's a great place to stroll around, take photos, and learn something new. You can spot the adorable Alley Niau figures everywhere! There is a café in the park where you can rest, and there are online reservations available for tree-climbing activities, with different fees depending on the duration. Mo Xi Mo Xi Tainan (哞熹哞熹) is a bubble tea shop that sells a wide variety of bubble tea series such as brown sugar series, fruit tea series, cheese foam series as well as pure tea series and etc! Also, they do have seasonal drinks as well and their current seasonal drinks are the strawberry series. We decided to try their strawberry fresh milk and it turned out really great! The strawberry sweetness was just nice and accompanied by strawberry jelly! They sell small bites as well such as panna cotta and bagel. #fallishere

Angel Rays at Tainan’s Sunset Platform

Slightly out of the way at the end of Anping District but worth the trip there at sunset. Easy to get to by car or scooter, or if you fancy an adventure you can rent a YouBike as there is a docking station at the location - roads to the place are bicycle-friendly and have few cars. Location has no actual “platform” but is a beach with shallow waters to have a little frolic in. Wear or bring slippers/sandals as the beach is made of fine, soft sand. There is also a long breakwater that you can walk and sit on for the sunset that gives you full ocean views of the sunset. #beachlife #sunsetview #seaview
