📍WABISABI DAE | Daily Taste 700 Taiwan Tainan City, West Central District, Youai Street, No. 180 The tea is very fragrant, and the original milk cap is unforgettable! The Earl Grey soft cookie has such a strong tea flavor that it feels like eating tea leaves! Other flavors are also very special! The pepper flavor is interesting! The chocolate is rich and not overly sweet~ 💞Recommended because: It's in a bustling walking area, and most importantly, Hong Kong people keep it up! 📍A Yu Beef The beef is very tender, the best among all I've tried 📍Battle Chicken The chicken is very tender, and the soup is the highlight, I drank it for 3 days in a row!

Tainan Nights: A Lantern-Lit Wonderland 🌙✨

#getgoing2025 #tainan There’s something magical about Tainan at night, especially when the lanterns light up and transform the city into a glowing masterpiece. Walking through the streets under the soft, warm glow of lanterns feels like stepping into a dream. What makes this experience amazing is how it combines Tainan’s rich history with an almost cinematic beauty. From traditional red lanterns swaying gently in the breeze to modern decorative lights strung across lively alleys, the atmosphere is both nostalgic and enchanting. One of the best spots to enjoy this is Shennong Street, where the old-style lanterns highlight the historic charm of the area. It’s the perfect place to stroll, snap photos, and soak in the cozy vibes. Add in the occasional street performer or a café tucked into an old building, and it becomes a truly memorable experience. Tainan’s lantern-lit nights aren’t just beautiful — they’re calming. It’s the kind of evening that makes you slow down, take a deep breath, and appreciate the simple joys of life. Whether you’re exploring with friends, family, or on your own, Tainan’s glowing lanterns make every night feel special. 🌌🏮💫

Tainan's 300-year-old street - Gonghou Street - Drum Tea House.

As a local Tainan resident, I am also a fan! Listening to drum performances and enjoying Tainan delicacies in a historic old house is truly a pleasure. Besides the performances, there are also delicious foods, tea snacks, and even a guided tour of the historic site after the meal. It's a great way to experience the chill vibe of Tainan people. The cost of such activities is also very affordable 🤭🤭 It's definitely worth bringing friends from out of town to experience it.

Mata Tofu Pudding: A Sweet Tradition in Tainan 🍮

#getgoing2025 #tainan If you’re wandering Tainan’s vibrant streets and craving a treat that’s both refreshing and steeped in history, Mata Tofu Pudding is the spot to visit. This humble yet iconic dessert shop has been serving locals and visitors alike for decades, offering a taste of tradition with every spoonful. Mata is famous for its silky-smooth tofu pudding, a classic Taiwanese dessert made from soybeans. The pudding is topped with a variety of sweet toppings like chewy tapioca pearls, red beans, or refreshing grass jelly 🌱. You can even try seasonal toppings like taro or fruit for a unique twist! 🍠🍓 What sets Mata apart is its focus on freshness and quality. The tofu pudding is made daily, ensuring that every bowl is as light and creamy as possible. It’s the perfect dessert to cool off on a warm Tainan afternoon. Fun fact: Mata Tofu Pudding has been a family-run business for generations, and their recipe hasn’t changed much since they first opened. This makes every bite not only delicious but also a piece of Tainan’s culinary history 🕰️. Whether you’re a foodie or just in need of a sweet pick-me-up, Mata Tofu Pudding is a must-visit. Tainan|Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum.

A museum located in the Shanshang District of Tainan, about an hour's drive from Tainan City. It just celebrated its 5th anniversary, making it a relatively new attraction! Covering an area of 20 hectares, the park is filled with old trees and not too many visitors, making it a very comfortable spot. Upon entering the park, there is a small train you can ride for 50 TWD per person. The ride is quite short, roughly a 10-minute walk distance (from the entrance to the plaza beverage section). The driver provides a brief introduction, and you arrive at the destination quickly. Most people feel that the 50 TWD fare is unnecessary 🤣. If the train could cover more areas, it would greatly enhance the willingness and satisfaction of the ride. The various museums within the park are well-maintained, and there are some interactive installations and introductions. It's a great place to stroll around, take photos, and learn something new. You can spot the adorable Alley Niau figures everywhere! There is a café in the park where you can rest, and there are online reservations available for tree-climbing activities, with different fees depending on the duration. Tainan Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum No. 16, Shanshang Village, Shanshang District, Tainan City Admission: 100 TWD Small Train: 50 TWD

A Visit to Tainan Grand Mazu Temple: History, Culture, and a Touch of Divine Luck 🙏✨

#travelinginchina #tainangrandmazutemple Tainan is a city packed with history, and Tainan Grand Mazu Temple (大天后宮) is one of its most fascinating stops. Built in the 17th century, this temple is dedicated to Mazu, the goddess of the sea, a figure deeply respected by fishermen and travelers alike. The moment you step inside, the scent of incense fills the air, and you’re surrounded by intricate carvings, golden lanterns, and centuries-old stone walls. The temple’s architecture is stunning, with elaborate dragon pillars and beautifully painted wooden beams that tell stories of devotion and protection. Locals come here to pray for safety, good fortune, and smooth travels—so if you’re on an adventure, why not ask Mazu for a little extra luck? There’s also a unique tradition where visitors shake a bamboo container of fortune sticks to receive guidance for their future. This isn’t just a place of worship—it’s a piece of Taiwan’s living history. Whether you come for the culture, the craftsmanship, or just a moment of peace, Tainan Grand Mazu Temple is a must-visit. Just don’t forget to make a wish! 🌟 #TainanTravel #MazuTemple #TaiwanCulture #TempleExploring

🕰️Business Hours: 10:00-16:00 (Closed on Thursdays) 📍Address: No. 54, You'ai Street, West Central District, Tainan City, 700 Taiwan 💞Recommended Reason: The environment is nice, and if you get a seat by the window, you'll enjoy the sunlight streaming in. The food tastes good; the creamy mushroom chicken is average, but the spicy shrimp pasta has a stronger flavor and is more to my liking.👍🏻

Angel Rays at Tainan’s Sunset Platform

Slightly out of the way at the end of Anping District but worth the trip there at sunset. Easy to get to by car or scooter, or if you fancy an adventure you can rent a YouBike as there is a docking station at the location - roads to the place are bicycle-friendly and have few cars. Location has no actual “platform” but is a beach with shallow waters to have a little frolic in. Wear or bring slippers/sandals as the beach is made of fine, soft sand. There is also a long breakwater that you can walk and sit on for the sunset that gives you full ocean views of the sunset. #beachlife #sunsetview #seaview
