2-Star Hotels in Zurich

Perfectly located within easy reach of the train station , major tourist attractions of the city and a large supermarket . Upon arrival we were cordially greeted by a receptionist with an absolutely lovely sense of humor. The hotel is small but it has all the things you’d need for a short stay. Will book again if we ever travel to Zurich again!

Nice hotel just outside the main area of Zurich. Room was a bit expensive considering it was small and had a shared bathroom. Maybe it was just Zurich prices, or the fact that Taylor Swift was in town and lots of places week booked up. Good tram system meant it was still easy to get around. Room was a bit hot at night and there was construction going on literally outside my window in the morning with the builders blaring their music in my window.

Easy to get to and fro airport. Eficient check-in /out. Room is clean . In room WiFi works and TV is connected to YouTube. As expected amenities like toiletries, bedroom slippers, beverage and kettle aren't present in the room. However, there is hot water and microwave at dining area located on Level 1. Coop, Migros and eateries are within walking distance. Hotel is stone throw away fom Limmat River. Pathway along river great for avid runners, Reasonablely priced and a fuss free hotel for short business trip.

Located in city center. About 8min walk from Zurich HB to hotel, if you carry a lot heavy baggage, you can take tram from Zurich HB station to Central ( only 1 stop ) from there only 1-2 min walk to hotel, very convenient! Around the hotel there’s a lot shops and restaurants, only walking distance.

Easily accessible from Zurich airport. The location of the hotel is located near one of the main station Zurich Altstetten which can bring you around Switzerland. On top of that, it has tram and bus access nearby to Zurich old town as well. Hotel amenities are good and clean. It’s new as well. The breakfast are simple and nice too! The staffs are friendly and quite helpful when we ask for direction or tips. Overall, it’s a good place to stay for couple.

Im really love this hotel..friendly staff..clean and modern room..n luckily they upgrade my room and i got room with balcony with nice view..there is coffee machine and tea corner..very comfortable..thank you for the great service..will recommend to my friends and family if they travel to switzerland..ang one more thing near to zurich main station..15 minutes to zurich airport by train or taxi..no need to rake taxi because train near to the hotel..just walkin distance..near to the shop for groceries…fantastic location..i give 5 star for cleanliness,location and staff.

There was no shelf in the shower room, so I felt it would be nice to have a place to put things like shampoo. The bed was spacious and there was storage, so it was good. Good location too

The location of the hotel is excellent and the service is very good. The price in the place of Zurich, Switzerland is quite affordable. The important thing is that the hotel is in the central area, close to the attractions and stations.

Yes, there is no hiding the fact that the Krone Pop-up has gone to great lengths to keep their prices as low as possible, but for the most part it is a well-run and comfortable base for short stays. The rooms and communal lounge are inviting, stylish and well-kept. The building is many centuries old, and traces its various incarnations are visible in these areas, giving it a quirky character. The views across the river to the old town are also beautiful. A hotel in this price category so close to HB is obviously a rarity, let alone one with nice perks like this. The WiFi was incredibly fast and stable. Late check-in worked perfectly. The hotel has a slick system for online check-in and the key dispenser at the entrance worked without a hitch. The Assistant Manager was really helpful and welcoming by e-mail in advance. To be fair, my stay was on a Sunday night, so the cleaning frequency may have been lower than usual, but the communal toilets and showers were not in great shape. They clearly are not designed for how intensely they are used, nor are they cleaned often enough for it. There's nothing worse in a communal shower than a moist shower curtain and no space to avoid it. Add to that the hair, sticky residue and grubby towel on the floor, and suddenly the room price doesn't seem like such a bargain. The solution is so simple: a pile of fresh floor towels and basket for used ones, plus some Mr. Clean for self-service cleaning during unmanned hours. The Soeder toiletries were lovely though! Arriving late on a hot day also proved to be unlucky, because I arrived to an overheated, stuffy room with no time to let it cool down before going to bed. The adjacent bar really is loud, but not much of a hindrance to sleep because it seems to close early (some time around midnight, on Sunday at least). The facing building across the narrow alley is very close and looks directly into the room, limiting the privacy and therefore how open you can leave the windows to let fresh air in. So, all-in-all the sleep quality was just too low. The heat, noise and lack of privacy made for a restless night. I just needed a place to spend 7 hours between my flight arriving late at night and then my train departing early the next morning, and the Krone Pop-up was the pragmatic choice for that. I wouldn't consider it for work trips - the sleep quality isn't good enough - but it could be a sociable, good-value base for leisure trips during the week.

It is really convenient to learn for the first time in this self-check-in and check-out method. The room is completely standardized, clean and digital service is very good!
