The lodge is a great place to stay. It is beautifully scenic and tranquil. There are so many fantastic hikes in such close proximity. The team that host you, are so kind. The food is great. My friends and I had the best time and would definitely come back

Lovely lodge close to the Huascaran National Park. It is in a nice and quiet location with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain peaks. The staff is great and very friendly, accommodation and food served excellent. We were there on a family holiday (2 adults and 2 teens) for 3-4 days, and did some great hikes in the area; some of the hikes can be done straight from the lodge, the others are a relatively short taxi ride away, which is a great advantage compared to staying in nearby towns (taxis can be expensive, roads are unpaved and bumpy, and the taxi suspension is such that your back often acts as a shock absorber - so the less time spent in a taxi the better!). Everything at the lodge is geared to support the hikers, and Charlie the owner provides great advice on hikes, tackling local quirks etc.

From our first breakfast after an overnight bus to Lima to our last before being picked up to do the Santa Cruz trek, we felt spoiled staying at the lodge. It is an amazing spot with beautiful views and nearby hikes, but the people are what really make it stand out. Charlie will help take care of everything so all you do is show up and walk. We really enjoyed out 5 nights here.

What a fantastic lodge and experience. Wish I could give more than five stars! The area is gorgeous. Cordillera Blanca Lodge is nestled in the Andean foothills with unrivaled views of snowcapped mountain peaks. The grounds are inviting and manicured, with lots of hammocking/lounging space and a lovely indoor dining room. The people are delightful. Charlie and Yanni are the most welcoming hosts, while Felix and Yanina keep the lodge running like clockwork. Antony (Charlie's go-to taxi driver) was also a delight. The food is unbelievable, especially considering the remote location. Breakfasts included fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, orange juice, sausage, avocado, toast, grilled tomato, eggs, oats, and crepes. Bag lunches always had sandwiches, fresh fruit, and trail mix. Dinners were stellar, and always included a soup, main course, and dessert. During a weeklong stay I never had the same dish twice -- some savory highlights included squash soup, lomo saltado, lasagna, and milanesa de pollo, while key lime pie and mango custard were my favorite sweets. The lodge itself is beautiful and very clean. Comfortable beds, inviting hardwood furniture, and loads of hot water were very welcome. Note that, as Charlie mentions on the website, the only electricity available in each room is a pair of relatively low-amperage USB-A ports. Make sure your cables are compatible! Even if you want to digital detox, phones are still super useful for GPS while hiking. The nearby trails, and Charlie's hiking recommendations, are superb. The views are pretty much impossible to beat, and Charlie's provided GPS routes make navigation quite easy without a guide (assuming your phone has battery!). Some sneaky favorites during my stay: falling asleep to a roaring fire in the wood-burning stove every night; eating hyper-local honey from Felix's bees (the hives are about 10 meters from the lodge!); stargazing from the lawn; and reading in the hammocks after a long day of hiking. Cordillera Blanca Lodge is a truly special place and I will definitely be back!

Such an amazing experience. When you book be aware it is not just a lodge… but the whole experience. The place is beautiful and peaceful. Besides, you have amazing views and trails near the house. The staff is awesome… Yanina cooked one of the best foods of our trip!! And Felix was always a very kind and helpful guy! Last, of course, Charlie was the best host ever… gave us some trekking tips, help with transportation and a nice chatting! Everyone should spend some time in this beautiful place!

Stayed here for 3D2N. Great location with spectacular views, very close to the Huascaran National Park. Charlie is super nice and helpful! Love the trails he recommended - the Yanapacha trailhead + Laguna 69 is amazing!!! If not staying at the lodge these trips won’t be possible.

Saying goodbye to CB Lodge was bittersweet. This place wasn't just a stay, it was an experience. I would like to thank Charlie for reminding us the importance of the "be here now" philosophy, it totally made the difference. We also appreciated the frank conversations and suggestions for our day hikes. From the moment we arrived, we were received with a delicious supper, and a warm and confortable room. It was clear that the lodge was designed for relaxation and connection. I doubt there is a better view when you are having breakfast or reading a book in a hammock. Additionally, it is super convenient because you are just next to the Huascaran National Park entrance. You don’t have to spend 5-7 hours per day in a minibus coming from Huaraz. We also enjoyed the company of the ‘security team’, the three Rhodesian Ridgeback that double as hiking guides. Cordillera Blanca Lodge is a place that will forever hold a special place in our memories, a constant nudge to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the present moment. If you're searching for a place to reconnect with yourself and your surroundings, and as a convenient starting point to explore the Cordillera Blanca look no further. You won't be disappointed!
