Great service. You can call the onsen ryokan when you arrive Yufuin station, and they can arrange shuttle/car drive the ryokan. The service of the staff are professional and friendly. Our room was big, and they provide good and ergonomic pillows. The dinner and breakfast were great too! Freshly made with seasonal food. One of the best place I’ve ever stayed in!

As most commenters said, the facility and furniture are indeed with certain ages. Location is good and window outside view is fabulous. The staff are nice except one male reception staff is a bit severed, he insisted the breakfast last order is 8:00am as both dinner and breakfast are sets for each person and well prepared on the table before your scheduled time. It is too early compares to global standard especially for a family with a 5 years old child,we were trying to require for the later timeframe but he shaked his head with no further assistance,while by next morning I saw there was another table guests arrived after 8:20am but their meal is also well-prepared on the table awaits for them. The food is very Japanese local style,fresh and special with different spices,good for a try

I read previous reviews that the hotel has a pick-up and drop-off service, but I checked via email two days before arrival but found it was not available. In the end, I ended up using the luggage delivery service at Yufuin Station! The staff was very nice when checking in! It's just that when booking a room, I entered the information of one large and one small. I don't know if it's a problem with trip.com or the hotel. For one room and two meals, I can only choose one or not. For one, I can only choose the 2 big prices. No. One big and one small! Just because there are only 2 large choices, the hotel only prepares 2 large toothbrushes for cleaning! I saw that the hotel had toothbrushes for children, and when I asked, they said they couldn’t give them to me because I booked a toothbrush for 2 adults! This makes me a little disappointed! They are one, one and one. In fact, I can also know the booking information early in the morning! When I arrived, they said they could change me to a children's dinner! Of course, if the price is very different, I won’t be refunded! Dinner was in the hotel's lobby room, and the staff responsible for delivering the food were all very nice! The food was good but not much of a surprise! The kids meals are great! There is a private bath in the room, which is why I booked it! The indoor private bath is useless because we are afraid of insects! We checked out the next morning, and because we were going to change to another hotel, we asked the staff to help us transport our luggage to the station. We paid in advance and asked the staff to transfer us to another hotel at the station! It’s so convenient as we have to go out for fun early in the morning! Overall it's good! The staff's attitude is very good!

Just like the introduction on Youtube, you will calm down and relax as soon as you enter the hotel. It specializes in one-to-one service. It is really considerate and the kaiseki cuisine is exquisite and delicious. The open-air bath comes at the right time, as the weather is freezing. If you have never been to Yufuin, it is worth a try. Hope the hotel will continue to maintain this high quality assurance.

We chose this gorgeous Ryokan because after backpacking in Japan for a month we felt like a treat to end our trip. It was a beautiful place to reflect upon our adventures. We hired a car so that we could explore the region and go into town when ever we wanted to (it’s located approximately 3km out of town up a hill). We bought a bottle of wine and snacks in the local supermarket and enjoyed a glass each evening in the garden. Sadly we were unable to experience their restaurant as they had not seen our email requesting this; however we found a some cute restaurants and cafes ate there instead. The hot springs really were 🥵 but great for our aches. Highly recommend as a beautiful private place to reconnect with your loved ones. It would be an amazing place for a wedding as everyone would be together and the gardens are so tranquil.

1. a special dinner is only available as a package to choose Japanese style room. We booked it but at last we were told there was no other dinner except dinner buffet at the spot. This was extremely frustrated because we would not book this package if this is the case. 2. Japanese style room on the 2nd floor, outside which is a zinc metal cover, we suffered the dripping sound of heavy raining on the zinc metal cover. 3. only warm air ventilation, which was extremely uncomfortable unless you switched it off and open the window, which makes the dripping noise every greater. We cannot sleep all night.

My room was amazing,the view and open air bath. It would be nice to show the room type alphabet on the system so i know which room i booked. Dinner and breakfast was very tasty. staff service was very good.

We booked two rooms, and both hot springs were outdoors. It was a unique experience to soak in the hot spring while looking at the mountains and forests. A few steps away was the forest, and there were deer. The breakfast and dinner were also very rich, and the kaiseki cuisine was colorful and high quality. The only thing was that there was a noticeable sound at night, which seemed to be the sound of wild animals. I asked the store owner, it might be a weasel... In short, it was a very good experience in a natural hot spring hotel.

Just in case of heavy rain in Kyushu, from Fukuoka to Yufuin by car, to the hotel has been more than 4 pm, but the weather is abnormally good! The hotel has two private open-air styles, one large and one small, but not in the room, to walk to the ground. Within 30 minutes of a time limit, no one can enter without booking, but there are not many occupants, so it is used at any time. This time, there is one berth and two meals. The hotel will not deliver food to the room. You have to go to the underground restaurant to eat. The quality of the food is OK. Unfortunately, the hotel did not attract the place I want to stay again, try it once.
