The bedding and shower in the room were beyond my expectations. There was also good night milk in a thermos can and sent to the room, which was considered thoughtful. The breakfast rice noodles were great and worth trying. The only drawback was that there were very few vegetables, no salad, one cooked dish, a lot of carbon water, and the red rice porridge was well cooked. I booked a balcony room. The osmanthus in front of the door satisfied the northerners' obsession with the fragrance of golden osmanthus, although it was probably not golden osmanthus, hahahaha, I was satisfied with this trip. I also caught up with the heavy fog and drizzle, worthy of the southern foot of Ailao Mountain

If you stay in a B&B, you have to stay in Xiangdian. They have two stores. The old store is close to the terraces, and the new store is located higher and has a farther view. As soon as we entered the door, we were warmed by the local butler. He told us the story of the cultural heritage, took us on a hike in the village, and invited us to bake tofu together in the evening.

The service provided by the boss is very, very OK. It is worth my driving thousands of miles to come to this world cultural heritage. The meaning of journey is to discover, there are surprises and disappoin**ents. When you fall asleep with anticipation all night, you will find that you can't sleep at all. Every time you open the curtains, it will give you a feeling of surprise. The word ”beautiful” cannot be used here, because it is not enough to describe its stunning beauty. Only surprise can match the indescribable scenery of the terraced fields illuminated by the morning light. On the sightseeing road, it is strongly recommended that all drivers and passengers open the windows, blow the wind, and face the original fragrance of trees, flowers and plants. Please forget your worries and immerse yourself in the sea of clouds in the morning and the sunset in the evening. When you check out, the boss will give you red rice 😄. In summary: it is not unaffordable to live in more than 1,000, and this location is really more cost-effective.

We upgraded to a view room. The room facilities are very new. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the terraced fields. The sunrise in the morning is unbeatable. There are private stands in front of the hotel and on the top floor, with a wider view. The boss was very attentive. He added WeChat in advance and sent the parking lot location and warm reminders. When we arrived at the parking lot, a small Hani girl came to pick us up and carried our luggage in a bamboo basket. We had dinner at the hotel. There were not many dishes but the taste was very good. The red rice noodles cooked by Hani grandma in the morning were delicious. Thank you to all the hotel staff for their very warm and thoughtful service, which made us have an unforgettable and successful trip to Yuanyang. I have recommended it to many friends and will choose to stay again next time.

The hotel manager was very helpful. He arranged to pick us up in a car close to the parking lot before our arrival. Our room was modern, clean and beautiful. The view from our balcony was breathtaking! You could spend all day at the hotel admiring the terraces from the hotel roof, restaurant or your room. It was a pleasant stay in Hua wowo hotel. Air quality was super good there. It was the best place for watching the sunrising in the yard or in the room of the hotel, very nice view. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a quiet place for holidays. Hotel restaurant offered local planted vegetables and local raised fishes from the terraces. The owner and other staffs of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We will choose the same hotel if we visit again.

The scenery is excellent. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of forests and mountains from anywhere in the room or lobby. My companions stayed so comfortable that they didn't want to leave. The girl at the front desk was very nice. She took the initiative to help us carry our boxes when we arrived. We were all embarrassed to carry two small boxes per person. The little girl helped us enthusiastically and thoughtfully if we needed anything. We really want to thank you! The mountain food on the nearby road is also delicious. The bed is just a bit soft for me personally. All in all satisfied.

You can watch the little ducks crossing the river on the country road. . The most amazing thing is that the location of the B&B is simply perfect! ! A very distinctive B&B with an excellent location. It is very close to Azheke Village and overlooks the terraced fields from a high place. The room is spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk also upgraded me to a loft for a better view of the terraced fields. The downside is that there are too few sockets in the living room of this room type and I can't find a socket to boil water. Because the room has a very high ceiling and a loud echo, the voices and music from the next door are very clear, but I can feel that they are very attentive. After all, it is not easy to run a B&B in the mountains. The B&B has a restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food. You can also wear Hani and Yi costumes for free to take pictures. There are also local specialties such as red yeast rice and terraced field black tea for sale.

GGuest UserAfter staying in hotels and B&Bs so many times, this is the first time I have written a review on the platform. It was a very warm stay experience that was still fresh in our memory after we left the hotel. This time we, a family of three, drove more than 30 hours and spent three days to reach this Hani village. The operators of this scarecrow inn are a young couple. As soon as we entered the parking lot, we felt like we were back at home. The male host who came out to pick us up helped us carry the big box. His lover also appeared in front of us dressed up. This is how the entire journey of the Hani tribe begins...
Their inn is very stylishly decorated, and the balcony has a panoramic view of the entire terraced fields. The clouds and mist in front of us are descending rapidly. For the first time, we feel like we are in the clouds!
Throughout the afternoon, the host took us to visit the surrounding folk villages, and then walked around the terraced fields. The hostess was busy in the kitchen preparing dishes and special items we needed. At the same time, they are always paying attention to our needs, asking us if we need this or that! We are deeply gratified by the meticulous care.
The male host is a man who has been a chef in a big city for seven years. The carp, chicken, and vegetables in the evening are all very delicious. Before going to bed at night, they brought their two babies up to chat with us for a while👧👦🙆
The most unforgettable thing is that when we left the next day, the host and hostess helped us carry the big box as always, escorted us all the way to the parking lot, and waved goodbye as if we were saying goodbye to close friends. generally!
Their enthusiasm and sincerity are the only reasons I recommend them!

GGuest UserI had an amazing stay in this hotel, the location is perfect, there's a nice spot to catch sunrise two minutes from there, room were clean and one of the most comfy I've been to, great bathroom with hot water and a lot of water pressure. The owner is super nice and helpful and speak well English and they also have a restaurant with delicious food!

Xx1023The B&B has a dedicated parking lot, which is a few hundred meters away from the B&B. There are steps and stone paths, and it is a test of physical strength to carry a lot of things. The B&B sister will help the guests carry their luggage. To be honest, it is hard to bear it. Fortunately, we don’t have suitcases and can basically solve it by ourselves. The B&B is located next to the terraced fields, with a good view, comfortable facilities, good hygiene, and good sound insulation and heat preservation of the balcony doors and windows. The only problem is that the room door is not soundproof. When a wave of ******* guests are unscrupulous, they continue to make loud noises upstairs and downstairs for several hours at night, affecting rest. You can eat in the B&B, which is very convenient. It is not easy to open a B&B in the mountains to be hygienic and comfortable, and there are several local Hani aunts and sisters employed. Full marks!

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

JJamesHarrisThis was a really unexpected find in the villages around the Yuanyang rice terraces. The building itself is really beautiful and directing overlooks the terraces. The room was surprisingly large and the floor to ceiling window offers a great view(weather permitting). The bed was super comfortable and shower hot and powerful. The best part was the sister who works here; she couldn’t have been more helpful, even walking us to the nearby village to find a place to eat. She is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. The only downside(and I know it’s a bit of a sensitive issue) is the lack of air conditioning in the room. Even at the end of June it isn’t hot around Yuanyang, but it is very humid and air conditioning could definitely help with the latter. That being said, I slept well with the window open and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

GGuest UserJacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.

JJennifer in ChinaPretty much next to the terraces! The view from my room was amazing, especially sunrise, could clearly see it from my room or could go to the outside area to see. Therefore didn’t have to go to the overcrowded viewing platform at the crack of dawn. Room is comfy, heater and towels provided but not really much else, so paying really for the view. Shower powerful and warm but no toiletries provided. Says restaurant on description but in fact doesn’t have one, has a couple of tables where the owner can warm up dumplings or baozi, however the owner is very nice and took me to see his friend which is only a short walk away who had a kitchen and could cook different meals at good prices. The owner helped me carry my luggage down, and it was pretty heavy, and then helped me to arrange someone to bring it up at the end of my stay. I would recommend not bring too much with you as it’s about an 8-10 min walk from the nearest car park, with quite a few steps or uneven paths but like I said, can arrange someone to help with any heavy luggage. Also it is in a little village surrounded by nature so bear in mind, you are going to hear things like the chickens and the wind. Owner speaks great English, always there to answer questions and help.
