Just back from a stay here and it was absolutely fantastic. The Hotel is relatively small and intimate and there is a very warm welcoming feel throughout. It’s right across from a lovely little park surrounded by water and has fabulous views. Plenty of parking behind it too. The rooms are the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, in fact the whole Hotel is spotless. We had dinner one night and it was very very good, highly recommend the Fish Cakes, delicious, I had Salmon too and it was exquisite, I’m not sure if it was but it tasted like it was Organic, beautiful…Desserts were also divine, especially the Apple Crumble. I love a good White Wine and the lovely guy in the bar recommended the Pinot Grigio, he gave me a little taste first and it was delicious, he also got me an extra Pillow later that night, worth his weight in Gold that guy is, (Apologies I don’t know your name). Breakfast was also very good, and it was lovely to see so many young local staff serving it. Young people need work for the summer and it seems to be a thing of the past, but not here! Overall I highly recommend this Hotel, Wonderful food, lovely happy chatty smiling staff, 40 mins outside Cork City, it’s literally across the road from the Sea, and it can’t be beaten on price. Probably one of the best Hotel stays I’ve had in Ireland.
