Basically in line with expectations, it is a good value for money in the surrounding area, the staff are quite enthusiastic. But the facilities are average. The hotel is in a good location, just across the river to the commercial street

Lovely hotel. Staff are all amazing and the breakfast was lovely too. In a perfect location near the river but also great for our trip to York Barbican. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying for three days for my solo trip at York. The room was quite big and yet old, without air conditioner but an old heater and fan.
The taps were separated hot water and cold water, and yet the hot water was either not hot enough or very hot.
It was closed to those key spots so I could reach them on foot, and yet there was a pub right opposite to the hotel, so it would be a bit noisy at night time.
Breakfast buffet was acceptable for its price.

A lovely stay again at the Queens Hotel, was even able to check in early as our room was ready. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

The location is good, right in the city center, about 10 minutes walk to Butcher Street and the train station (without luggage), my mother and I dragged two large suitcases and walked for nearly 20 minutes. But I don't recommend staying here, not because the hotel is bad, but York is really too small and boring. If you pass by one day, it is more than enough to reserve two hours for transfers. There is no need to stay here

The location is very good, right next to the canal in the city center. It will be a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, but I think it's good to be a bit popular.
