Wyndham Grand Yichang Riverside

My parents and I took a Yangtze River cruise from Chongqing to Yichang. After disembarking in the morning, we checked into the Wyndham Yichang at noon. We booked a suite with a huge living room featuring a large, curved floor-to-ceiling window offering beautiful river views. The sofa in the living room was big enough for one person to sleep on, so we didn't need an extra bed. The bedroom had an air purifier, and even though it's a new hotel, there was absolutely no new-decoration smell (my mom and I both have sensitive noses). Our butler, Sunny, contacted me the day before check-in to ask about our arrival time and needs. Since there were three of us, she proactively offered a complimentary breakfast for the third person, which was incredibly thoughtful! The room she arranged perfectly matched my request for a good view. We also received welcome fruit and delicate pastries. Just a friendly reminder to everyone, the minibar is complimentary, which I thought was a great touch. When we went to visit the Three Gorges Dam with our cruise tour guide, the guide mentioned that the local Lunwan oranges are particularly delicious this season. My mom and I were instantly intrigued. Around 8 PM, I messaged Sunny on WeChat, asking where we could buy fresh Lunwan oranges near the hotel. Sunny suggested checking the fruit shops near Wanda Plaza, downstairs from the hotel. When we returned to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Sunny had arranged for a colleague to deliver a large bag of oranges to our room – what a wonderful surprise! We bought a bag of oranges from a small fruit truck behind the hotel downstairs, and we also tried the oranges from the hotel. The hotel's oranges were clearly much better – not exceptionally large, but noticeably fresher, with thinner skin and more juice. Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00 (breakfast is served in the main restaurant downstairs, not the Executive Lounge). The hotel's breakfast spread is extensive. Besides the usual egg and noodle stations, there's also a congee station where you can choose your own ingredients (seafood, beef, century egg and lean pork, etc.). They also offer Yichang's local radish dumplings (it would be even better if they had Yichang's signature spicy oil buns). The Executive Lounge is open from 12:00 to 20:00, offering all-day service: around 6 kinds of fresh fruit, freshly ground coffee, tea, soft drinks, and small biscuits. There's also alcohol available (I'm not sure if it's available all day, as we don't drink). • Afternoon Tea (approx. 14:00-17:00): A good variety of hotel-made cakes (they weren't overly sweet, which was a plus!). • Happy Hour (18:00-20:00): Several types of cold cuts, vegetable salads, and what seemed like 4-6 hot dishes, two of which were fried. The selection was a bit limited.

The hotel is great! I've stayed in both city view rooms facing the street and river view rooms, and both were really good. The views from the higher floors are definitely fantastic. All the amenities are very well-appointed. The service is also excellent. The location is super convenient; it's lively downstairs with a commercial street and local snacks. You can also enjoy the riverside scenery by taking a stroll along the river.

This is a hotel I'd recommend to all my friends! As soon as you enter the lobby, a concierge proactively greets you and offers to help with your luggage. Concierge Wensen's service was exceptional and very enthusiastic. The hotel's attention to detail is remarkable: the bed's firmness was just right, the bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation, the shower had strong water pressure and stable temperature, and there wasn't a speck of dust in any corner, showing how meticulously the cleaning staff works. The room offered great views, and the location is convenient to shopping areas and attractions, all within walking distance. A definite five-star rating, no hesitation!

The location is excellent, right next to the Three Gorges Tourist Center, which is super convenient for travelers. The hotel offers great views, high up and far-reaching. It's also equipped with a gym and a swimming pool. Very convenient and thoughtful, with a butler named Felix providing attentive and meticulous service that made us feel right at home.

The hotel's facilities and environment are top-notch. As soon as we walked in, a concierge greeted us and helped with our luggage. Both the hardware facilities and service attitude are excellent. Wensen, the concierge on the first floor, proactively assisted us and even offered travel recommendations. It was a very satisfying stay, and I'll definitely choose Wyndham Grand Yichang again on my next visit to Yichang.

We booked a river-view room, and the scenery was amazing. The Riverside Avenue across the street was absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and tidy, breakfast was plentiful, and the service attitude was excellent.

We had a friends' gathering and Sunny, our hotel butler, was absolutely amazing! She reached out to us as soon as we booked and handled everything, making our stay so easy and stress-free. She was incredibly responsive and always happy to help with anything we needed. The room was also very spacious with unbeatable river views!!

The hotel slippers weren't the usual flimsy disposable kind; they were thick-soled and made of towel-like material, which was really comfortable and non-slip. They're reusable too. The facilities were excellent, and I really appreciate their eco-friendly approach. The service was also top-notch, especially from Zoe. I'll definitely be reaching out to her again on my next visit!

The hotel's location is excellent. We were welcomed by security and a doorman at the entrance, and someone also helped with our luggage. Check-in was on the 34th floor, and there were staff downstairs to guide us. Felix also introduced us to the hotel's nearby facilities. The front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options, highly recommended.
