Yangshuo Mengyuan Shanju Hotel (Xingping Ancient Town Branch)

The view from this hotel is very beautiful and the floor to ceiling window is really nice to sit and look out at the end of the day and enjoy a drink. The host is very friendly and helpful. She hired their bikes to us for ¥20 each for the day. The town is very beautiful, I recommend climbing the mountain in town and getting a bamboo raft. I definitely recommend to stay in this hotel.

Perfect view, absolutely unspoiled, over the valley and mountains from the panoramic view of our room (light luxury mountain view room), quite mesmerising. It was actually hard to want to leave the room initially as the view is so compelling, with sofas to relax and enjoy the view. Conveniently located at short walking distance to the Li river and the local markets. Family run; the family is extremely helpful, volunteering a lot of information with details and maps to organise our outings and make the best of our stay (download Wechat to best communicate); we felt totally taken care of, which never happened at any of our many other hotel stays in China. Powerful heater/air-conditioning, which made our room warm during our winter stay (unlike many other sometimes more expensive hotels where we froze). Very comfortable and clean room, elevator, laundry room with drier. The family also runs a restaurant in the adjacent building, which is excellent and reasonably priced. You might also be given a taste of their home made wine. Highly recommended hotel.
