Spacious for me. Although a bit old it good conditions. Only issue is thar the aircon it either on or off and it pretty warm so for late autumn and winter it is alright. Breakfast is either Japanese or western and the lounge is cosy. The carpark is a multi storey carpark west of the hotel so to drive past the building and anticlockwise. Good deal when I book it for 1 night. There a family mart right below.

It was very good. I went by motorcycle, but it was raining on the day, so it was good to recommend it to a place with a roof.

I chose it for the purpose of survival. I was told that you can change your indoor wear and swimsuit as many times as you like, so if you're staying overnight, I don't think it's necessary to bring a swimsuit as it will be part of your luggage. My room was on the first floor, and the staff told me that ``the view on the first floor isn't very good...'' but I was worried because I spend most of my time outside of my room, taking in hot springs, saunas, playing areas, and reading books. It did not become. On the other hand, it was convenient because restaurants and sauna gardens were nearby. It was nice to have unlimited water and coffee everywhere. The staff at every post were pleasant and kind, which left a lasting impression on me. I would like to stay here again.

I usually stay at Zao International Hotel, but I couldn't make a reservation this time, so I tried to make this inn with a relatively high evaluation. As for Zao International Hotel, I have written a review many times in the past. In comparison with the hotel, I will write the impression of this inn. 1. Location It is in front of the bus terminal and is a convenient place to come by bus. It is also suitable for a joint bath. However, if you are skiing, you need to take a bus to the ropeway mountain foot station or walk through the hot spring town with a board. In this respect, it is located on a high level a little far from the hot spring town and is more convenient to Zao International Hotel, which is almost directly connected to the genre. 2. facilities It is a quite large inn, but it is a building with a year. However, the inside is clean. The front desk is on the first floor. From the entrance to the outside, you will get down another floor. Also, to go upstairs from the fourth floor, you need to change the elevator. It's a bit troublesome to often go out and out from the upper floor. Zao International Hotel also has multiple buildings, and the entrance and exit are quite walkable at 1 places, so both are the same in this respect. The rooms are renovated neatly and nothing is wrong. However, you can't enjoy the luxurious construction and view, such as Zao International Hotel Minami Kan. 3. Hot spring The large bath with open-air bath is not bad, but the facilities around the water are deteriorating a little. It is not possible to deteriorate rapidly due to the influence of hydrogen sulfide gas, but it seems to be better to put your hand in soon. The open-air bath is small. The bathroom facilities are not enemy to Zao International Hotel, including 4 rental baths. However, the use situation of hot springs was a little better than Zao International Hotel, which did not have any water from the source in the hot spring, and was pulling hot water using the natural slope. 4. Meals I think both inn tastes more than average. However, the tsuruya sukiyaki tare felt too little 々 sweet for us. Also, I was a little worried that I would not eat until I finished eating when I cooked. Zao International Hotel was better in these respects. 5. Customer service Everyone was polite and the front desk was also good. I wrote it again in the review of Zao International Hotel, but Zao International Hotel has a number of employees at the front desk who are in a terrible mine. The management, who left it alone, was really negligent, because they were just responding to the guests and they were slashing the overall hotel rating. It is an iron rule to stay comfortably at Zao International Hotel that does not approach the front desk as much as possible and checks carefully before paying. In this respect, it is a victory of vines. (It may be accurate that Zao International Hotel is too bad.)

We stayed for 2 nights with two couples from June 18. The room was a large room of 30 square meters of Japanese bed on the 3 floor, and there were 2 elevators, convenient, old and weak feet. Dinner was delicious for two days with a great kaiseki dish with a good appearance and a variety of ingredients. The hot springs were in the inner bath and the open air, respectively, with a milky white bath with a rich sulfur fragrance. I was able to use it in a cheap plan, but I want to take care of it again next time.

I liked the old fashioned design of the onsen. Before dinner it was extremely crowded so we waited 30 minutes and had the onsen public bath to ourselves. The outdoor onsen rotemburo were very refreshing. The room with beds was very spacious. And the snacks and fruit plate were very welcoming. The relaxation chair was special! No kids under 3 years old allowed and no restaurant on site (order half board) which might be a problem. With ski-in/ski-out facilities. We walked to the ropeway 5 minutes. There's a nice onsen foot-bath too. Dinner was plentiful, very attractive with Yonezawa brand beef. Also the Imo NI Potato Stew was very good.

We arrived at Mt Zao in the middle of Our Epic Six Week Trip To Japan, during which we stayed in nine different hotels. This room was amongst my favourites. The staff largely didn't speak English and were not helpful. We had a stand off at the restaurant as we didn't understand that we couldn't dine at there without having made a booking far in advance. After this was explained, there was no apology or suggestions for alternative dining options. There are limited dining options in Zao. We ate at the Soup Curry place one night and a cute sushi joint another night. On the last night we ended up getting an ebiken bento box from the local L****ns as nothing was open. We did book breakfast each morning and that was fantastic. Lots of Japanese and Western options and it seemed like the food had all been prepared onsite. The hotel is very pretty, with a lovely view of the forest from the lobby. There is a common room with free coffee, tea and ice creams. People were pretty friendly in there. The hotel is the furthest from the 'town' but the closest to the ski lift and to the 'sulfurous' onsen. The ski lift is about 50 metres from the hotel and the ride up and down is spectacular. I thought the onsen was top notch. The sulfurous onsen outside has milky water that is supposed to be good for your complexion. It was fun having an onsen with snow all around. We stayed in the Western style room - it was spacious and well appointed. Our little lounge area had a beautiful view of pine trees and lots of snow. There was also a similar view from the luxurious bath tub (but I didn't use that tub as the onsen was so good.) The beds in our room were very hard. Our room also had a massage chair which I used for hours a time. It was a bit of a trek getting to Mt Zao. The hotel staff weren't very helpful with organising buses but they did drop us off at the bus stop early in the morning and we were picked up on our day of arrival. I know that the staff weren't friendly to us because of the language barrier, which is a shame because everyone should enjoy this venue. I would stay here again for sure. Next time we'll book the dinner set. It did smell amazing ! --

There is no doubt that it is a first-class inn! It is an inn with great employee education. It's been a while since I've been in the room recently, but it was an inn that brought my luggage to my room. The inside of the inn is large and the garden is magnificent and too luxurious! It was like a maze. Supper is easy because you can have it in a private room. The explanation of the food was young, but it is very solid. There were many vegetables such as wild plants for breakfast, and there were many maba tofu and kotteri Chinese dishes, so I thought it was unusual, and the maba tofu I took was amazing. Of course, all the dishes are delicious, but the rice is what impresses me. Yamagata rice is really delicious. It was a long and elongated variety and I liked it very much. You may not be able to expect the view from the room because the room you stayed in was on the 3 floor. I really don't say anything, but if I say one thing, I was worried that when I left the room, I always smelled the food from the kitchen.

We stay at this hotel for visiting Ginsan Onsen. There is complimentary shuttle service at the train station ( delicious meal at the station ) . The staff are courteous and helpful. The room is large and Japanese style and the onsen is beautiful . There is lots of good restaurant around and convenience store too. Local snack and drink will be welcoming you and the morning breakfast is a must. Food are so authentic and delicious. I ate the most delicious chicken meat there. The view from the room will take your breath away !! The toilet in the reception is the best toilet I have been to in Japan !! ( sorry for photo as I forgot /to take ). Thanks for reading my review. Hospitality is absolutely wonderful. A lot of things of the ground of Yamagata came out, too. Of course, all of them are delicious. We also had delicious Yamagata local sake. The view from the large public bath and open-air bath on the 8th floor is also the best. The hot spring water is soft and just the right temperature. The tiredness of the trip was blown away. It's fun to see the paintings of celebrities' plates displayed in each hallway. I definitely want to come again.

Outstanding
GGuest UserAn inn with a connection to poet Mokichi Saito. Waka poems written by the guests and locals are displayed, and there are *****s of paper and writing brushes in the room. The number of rooms is small, and meals can be served in private rooms. The furnishings and furnishings, and the tableware used for meals, etc., show a sense of commitment and taste. In particular, the cloudy, sulfur-scented hot springs while looking at the piled-up snow and the delicious, gentle-tasting dishes made with ingredients from Yamagata are pleasing to the eye and very satisfying. I was able to learn about the history and culture of Yamagata by receiving detailed answers to my questions about ingredients and other items. The shuttle service to the bus terminal and ropeway platform is also a nice service.
GGuest UserThe service was very good. Although I knew beforehand that the hotel staff could call us to the Zao bus station to drive us to the hotel. The hotel staff picked me up with my name tag,
Still moved. It also picked us up for free to other attractions in Zao. The hotel's catering service was great and the hot spring facilities were good.
Although the hotel's equipment looks a bit old, it matches the theme of the snow scene and its own hot spring hotel, but it has a unique flavor.
On the day I left, I missed some items in the room. I left Yamagata at that time, so I emailed the hotel, and the hotel quickly delivered my leftover items to my next hotel. thank you very much!
GGuest UserThe inside of the room is in a state where you can clearly see the signs of repair after the wallpaper was torn, but the size of the room may be on the larger side for a single. The Super Hotel Group talks about LOHAS, so it seems like they are paying attention to the environment, but even though the breakfast buffet claims to be a healthy breakfast, I still don't know how healthy it is. The hot springs are open as much as you like from 3:00pm to 9:00am the next day, and although the bathrooms are not large, we enjoyed them to the fullest. Also, since the rooms are PIN-coded and there are no keys or cards, I think it's a good idea to be able to leave the room without having to go through any formalities when checking out.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is convenient. It takes about 30 minutes by bus from Yamagata Train Station to the hot spring hotel. When I was worried about carrying large luggage to the hotel, I saw the Shuttle Bus picked up by the hotel staff as soon as I got off the bus. I was really pleasantly surprised. In addition, the hotel is only a 10-minute walk away from the ski lift station. If you don’t want to go to the ski resort, the hotel has Shuttle Bus every morning and afternoon to arrange transfers. Just pay attention to the timetable. The hotel actually has a variety of room types, but the room we booked is on the first floor. The room on the first floor is set in the west building. There is no elevator to reach the room. It is quite difficult to carry large luggage to the room. There is no separate toilet and bathroom in the room. The decoration is a bit dilapidated, and the public toilets are small in size. If they are obese, they can’t get in at all. As there was no room category to choose from when booking, I felt a little overwhelmed when I arrived at the store. The room we booked includes 1 night and 2 meals. The food is delicious and exquisite. After staying for 4 consecutive days, the food is different every day. With the value of our reservation, the price is really high. The hotel service is first-rate. During the time, my friend slipped and broke her ankle bone in the parking lot. The hotel staff immediately called her ambulance to the hospital. After she was discharged from the hospital, she also carefully arranged wheelchair transportation. At the same time, we arranged for friends to stay on the elevator floor and have separate toilets for free. Room. Since friends need to return to Hong Kong for medical treatment early, the hotel specially arranges vehicles to be sent to Yamagata Airport (the traffic is of course charged, but the price is very reasonable), so that friends can feel at ease during the process. I would like to express my sincere thanks to every employee of the hotel for their enthusiasm and care, and fully appreciate the high-quality service level and the strong human touch. As for the open-air hot springs, they may be closed due to bad weather, and there are free massage chairs in the bathroom for free use by customers. Compared with other hot spring hotels, most of the massage chairs are made of materials, and they feel generous and considerate and worth recommending.
SSometimestraveller12We went as a group of 5 to snowboard and the location was perfect, 7 min walk from chairlift 4, they also offer special deals for daily lift passes and nearby rental shop (Best Rental Shop) which was great! Fantastic onsen in the facilities open 24 hours every day (2 public and 3 private was available) was perfect for our aching bodies! The best part were the staff in particular a very cheery waiter who always delivers breakfast and dinner service with a smile! Food was delicious and showcased all the best seasonal local foods. While reception staff were not well rehe****d in english they tried their best to assist us as best as possible. They are slightly short staffed on front desk/in the shop but we were never really rushed for service and a bit of patience meant everyone is happy and you were eventually seen to! Our room was simple japanese style room with futons but very large for 5 people with nice views. We would absolutely come back here it was a very enjoyable stay!
__e244It is an old hotel, so you may not want to take a bath in your room, but their public bath is good. This place is on the hill which means you will not want to walk by your own in winter because of the slippery Mountain path. But in other hand it is really convenient because they provide shuttle bus to bus station or cable car station. And there is a ski place just in front of the hotel, you can borrow the equipments from hotel.
We loved the whole experience at Omiya Ryokan in Zao Onsen. We had a spacious and generously proportioned corner room and a lovely view over the village. The Kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were incredible and so carefully served. Omiya’s staff were lovely, and I want especially to mention Ishiyama-san for her wonderful help in making forward bookings for us and organising our suitcase to be sent onwards. She was always so smiling and patient. The ryokan’s Onsen was beautiful and we enjoyed it every day, wearing our Omiya yukatas. The outside onsen foot-bath was a lovely touch, and, hoping for enough late-season snow we even managed two lovely ski days!
OOshinThis hotel should be considered a better hotel in the village. It is recommended to book breakfast and dinner. They are all Japanese meals. They are good, but our Chinese stomachs should not worry too much. There are indeed not many restaurants in the village. . Came to ski, so the location of this hotel is really great! Going out is next to the 4 cables of the ski resort, which is convenient for going up the mountain. The key is that this year, Japan is also warm in winter, there is little snow, half of the slopes are not open, because this side is the part of the mountain, so the snow slopes are basically on the 4th line, which is very convenient. Overall it is a hotel with a good price/performance ratio. When you arrive at the bus stop, call the hotel to pick you up.
GGuest UserI visited with my children on weekdays in June. On that day, we were able to use it very freely because we were the only customers. The impression is that the building is carefully and beautifully used. The restroom was not in the room and was shared, but it was clean and there was no particular stress. (Because there were no other customers) The landlady was kind and talked to the children many times, so it was comfortable even with children. I was able to eat well from the morning, and he told me, ”There are many twin cherries this year 🍒.” I saw twin cherries for the first time, but they were delicious 😋 I arrived at the Shinkansen late at night and was scheduled to leave at 9 o'clock in the morning, so the location was convenient and helpful.
NnanachanpeWe arrived in a few minutes from Yamagata Station. It is cheap though access is outstanding. It is convenient. The deadline for breakfast is 880 yen until 8 o'clock the night before. Breakfast is from 7:00 to 8:00 in the morning, the same 3 floor as the receptionist. The front desk is kind. After the stay, I received an email through the reservation site. I felt the business effort.
