I can fully recommend the stay at Mr. Wu‘s Hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The check-in and check-out was very easy. Even though they might not be fluent in English, I never had a problem communicating with them. We always used a translation app and we understood each other with ease. They even walked with me to the next convinient store around the corner to make sure I definitely found it. The room is very spacious with a big, comfortable bed and different pillows to chose from as well as a small bar to cook tea and enjoy a snack. It‘s very clean. Every day they come in, remove the trash, make the bed and clean everything as well as refill the water bottle which are for free during your stay. The location of hotel was perfect for me with lots of restaurants around and the merto station(line 3 and 6) just a short walk away. You can very easily go to the city centre and all the sights by metro. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda for example is just a couple stops away with line 3. The breakfast buffet has a lot of choices - something for every taste. It‘s mostly chinese dishes but also with western options e.g. toast, jam, cereal. Fruit is also available. It is really delicious! To sum it up: If you want to enjoy Xi‘an and want to stay in an awesome hotel, this is the one to pick! I went there first with my friends but I had to cancel it because it was catastrophic. I have never seen something like this ”hotel”. It was so cold and so dirty, the smell is so bad, and didn't feel safe at all. The family responsible of this hotel were VERY FRIENDLY to us and explained to us why the price is so cheap and in such hotels you can't find heating system and room service. If you're a foreigner I don't recommend you to stay here, better to pay more for a better hotel.
