This hotel is a wonderful accident. Someone reminded that it is close to Hbf and the law and order is not good. It is quite safe to arrive at 10 o'clock in the evening. The doorway is a lively commercial street. It may not be convenient to drive by car. The twin room booked unexpectedly gave two twin beds, and the family of 4 could stay loose. The room and bathroom are oversized. The breakfast was very good. Praise! ! !

This review does not refer to the hotel, but only to the restaurant in the hotel building. The hotel is located at the end of a rather densely built residential street with chaotic parking conditions. The hotel does have its own parking lot and a small parking garage, but even this fills up quite quickly, especially when large family gatherings are held in the restaurant. The rooms of the restaurant can be found by passing through some rather confusing and winding corridors. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned. The service is not really professional, which you notice during the whole stay. Even the payment process only works reasonably promptly if you intercept your waitress at the billing computer. You have to wait a long time before you get the chance to reorder drinks. So you sit for quite a long time in front of empty glasses. But now to the main thing: food. Various schnitzels are offered with French fries and a side salad. The salad is okay, but the schnitzel not at all. The meat is dried out, the breading has a consistency that corresponds to that of frozen products. The whole product is too salty and not really edible. Thus, several guests ate the schnitzel only in part. And this was not noticed by the waitress. It was also not asked at all whether the food was okay. The fries, on the other hand, were edible. A very long time ago, this was a recommendable restaurant where many locals liked to eat.

Very clean new and modern. The hotel was very quiet which was nice. Unfortunately they could not offer food in the evening and had to rely on take away food. Thankfully the hotel staff were helpful in advising where to order food from. Also very helpful on my check out day as i couldnt work at the office I was given late check out which was great.

I was charged more than the agreed price and the hotel refuses to respond to my complaint. I was in the neigborhood and called them after seeing their prices on their site. Based on their offer I went to the hotel, the check-in took a long time because of computer problems. They charged my credit card, I asked for the bill to check it but they said I would get it at check-out. When I complained the next morning they would follow up later. They now deny it and claim I got a better room, but the price of my room on their site is still much lower than paid.

A new, good address. The circumstances are of sound, high quality, the style of the hotel is in line with today's standard. Notably well-functioning the lifts, notably applied to the whole reception. The prices are fair, even cheap when selected carefully. The location of breakfast rooms is not very cheap. A great advantage is that there is a walk to a fitness studio and a bar in the house where you can find drinks even late night and evening, and above the one or the other bite. Gherardino

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Business travel for Euroshop. Liked my stay and did not feel as formal as a hotel. Breakfast was good, warm breakfast was ok but got boring after the 3rd day. Staff helpful. I will go back to this hotel. Taxis and trains close to hotel. Rooms clean and bedding nice white linen. Good experience

The hotel is 20 minutes walk from Essen Central Railway Station, not far from the pedestrian street, walking is within walking distance, parking is also very convenient downstairs in the hotel itself.
The parking fee is 17.5 Euro/night, which is a bit more expensive. The parking fee has to be paid in advance and not accepted. It is estimated that inflation in Europe has been quite severe in the past two years. I feel that prices are soaring, and prices for meals and accommodation are rising.

The hotel is in the centre of Bochum, exit the hotel and you are in the centre. Parking is underneath the hotel in a public garage for an acceptable daily rate. Beds great, but the bedlinnen for a double bed is so small that one person is left out in the cold. Hotel is brand new. Loved the hotel. Breakfast great except the juices. Friendly staff. What needs improvement: The mentioned bed linnen / covers. The hotel needs to do something about that. I do not know what kind of ”juice” comes out of the machine at breakfast, but you really cannot call this orange juice.

Due to sustainable cleaning policy rooms are cleaned upon request (not every two days as they say) it means that you run out of shower gel (we had to ask at the reception), towel (had to phone reception) and toilet paper! When they clean it is not accurate (one bed was made and the other not). There is no phone in the rooms and airdryer is a toy (stops every minute) We asked for a real air dryer and they didn’t have it (how come?? What do they do if your hairdryer breaks down? Leave you with wet hair?) but carefully explained how the hairdryer works (what?)

GGuest UserUnfortunately super disappointing. We spent in this sending hotel 2 nights including our wedding night. Had even ordered a expensive photographer and videographer tomorrow to take a picture and photograph with us. We had clearly set out with the hotel in the forefront which room we wish for it, orally and in writing. We were even in the room before and I showed photos of another Getting Ready in our wish room that I wanted for us. The hotel has shown us and confirmed this room in the local area, also in writing. You can imagine our horror when we arrive on the day of check-in afternoon and this room was just ”paid” to people who spontaneously asked it on the same day. Without any conversation with us. It was even in the system that we reserved it, and then the lady at the reception probably held a telephone conversation with the booking manager who had to get fully out of the air and never have to say, that he has given us another room because we wanted a bathtub. We never wanted a bathtub or even just talked about it. My husband measures clearly over 2 meters, The max 1,40m long bathtub in one of the other rooms doesn't interest us at all. Absolutely difficult in addition to the organization. And then, the room was away, there was absolutely no room at the same level. Instead of the room with greater over 3 meters of ceiling height and to the garden exit, then a much smaller room with 2.50m deck height with windows went out to the industrial area. And in this room the Getting Ready Shooting took place with the expensively paid photographers and videographers. Whenever I see the photos I get angry because wedding dress including dragon now decorately hangs to the industrial area in front of a window and the ceiling is on the ground. I really find a uglyness for a hotel that is so high. And unfortunately, we had planned to have a address in the hotel next to the expensive Getting Ready where we will spend our wedding day every year in the next few years. Also that - linked to this disappointing memory - is not of course Option more. Really disappointing. The owners have never turned in and apologised or similar. Damage! Therefore zero of 5 stars.

HholsteinandreasI am a multi-researcher and know almost every kind of hotels. The specialized hotel, was recommended to me, so I booked there. Very nice, old specialized house from inside was cleaned and lovely furnished. Reception: it does not take place. Here you get a code then the room key. That would better ... Very clean, as already mentioned, beautifully furnished rooms, good Wifi Breakfast wonderful. Finally, freshly prepared egg food, breakfast ingredients are brought on floors for everyone. All products from the region. Great coffee. Very friendly service. What is missing. Parking. However, there are opposite in a parking house. So whoever doesn't always want the standard and still wants to be centrally placed is very well lifted here. It's always happy to be back.

Beautiful environment, good geographical location, convenient transportation, comfortable and sanitary rooms, service staff are very enthusiastic, facilities are very humane, high-speed network signal is good, the view outside the window is good. Great Ibis hotel with excellent service and a committed team. Family atmosphere. Clean, functional rooms and an excellent breakfast. Nice service at the hotel bar. Unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended. Would happily go back. Welcome drinks for all guests. Unfortunately no welcome treatment. But very friendly service.
