Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. A very warm and friendly welcome from our Hostess. Exceptional service from Maitre d', Hostess, Waitresses, very efficient and nothing was too much trouble, always served with a smile. Beautiful Restaurant , tables well spaced , lovely ambiance. A First Class Chef, served beautifully presented food, amazing flavours, freshness of ingredients flowing through, ample portions, each dish was so well-executed every mouthful was a treat. We look forward to returning. Highly Recommended - 5 Stars

Absolutely amazing location! We went for a family wedding and couldn't have asked for more. The food was amazing, the staff were great and atmosphere was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they did a great job at catering for dietary requirements- there were quite a few among the guests- and no one felt overlooked or like they were too much trouble. We will definitely be returning to try their Sunday lunch!

We went to The Wroxeter Hotel for a family Sunday lunch. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly which was a lovely touch. We all had a roast (there's a great selection) apart from our youngest who inhaled goujons and chips(typical 4 year old). The food was delicious and plenty of it. Definitely didn't go hungry. Would recommend as they cater for all the family in a beautiful location.

We attended our second family wedding here yesterday and this one was just as fantastic as the last. It's an amazing venue in a great setting, and the day just ran like clockwork. From a guest's perspective, we felt really looked after by the staff, and the food was absolutely fantastic- best wedding food I've ever had. The rooms are great: good value, especially for the location, and we slept really well. The buffet breakfast was spot-on too, really enjoyed my Full English. Hopefully we will be invited to another celebration here soon!

Stayed one night for family wedding. Venue appears short staffed on reception. Hard to reach on the phone, always have to leave a message. Patchy availability of staff on reception to respond to guests needs. Had to pay extra to access room early to change into wedding attire. Room smelled strongly of vomit. After complaining a staff member was dispatched to investigate but simply sprayed air freshener to cover up the smell. Another staff member reluctant to accept that carpet smelled of vomit and tried to deny the obvious odour. Eventually someone attempted to spot clean the carpet with limited success. How can any self-respecting hotel clean and prepare a room for guests later in the day and hope they won't notice the stench of vomit? Mattress tired and saggy, old thin and shabby duvet, no shower gel, shampoo or conditioner. Soap dispenser in shower was missing, just the bracket remained. Food provided was basic quality. No wine provided to toast the happy couple, guests had to buy their own. No facility for indoor weddings, ceremony took place outside, either in the open if weather allowed or in a large tent. Disco in the evening was enjoyable but dance floor had LED lights embedded which hotel wanted to be paid an exorbitant amount to turn on. Overall impression was of a hotel seeking to maximise profit by providing as little as possible in return.

We came to attend the wedding of a family member upon our arrival the greeting from the lady on reception was fantastic and very helpful. ( we hope her operation and recovery goes well). The wedding was outdoors in a lovely area, and reception in the huge TP, and the evening back in the hotel. All staff were very curtious, helpful and attentive with any request for help dealt with quickly. Our room (8) was very nice, clean and welcoming and I know other family members stopping the night said the same about their rooms. Although after a heavy session perhaps a lift to our room would have been nice not a disadvantage too us but with age going against us it took a while longer to get the legs to work up the stairs. I would thoroughly recommend any body to book your wedding at the venue. Regards John and Gill Graham.

A visit for Sunday lunch with family. This was arranged through the Groupon offers. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable and were given a lovely table in the smaller conservatory. The food was excellent, and it served hot and plentiful. The staff were lovely and attentive. They got us all the condiments we asked for and kept checking everything was ok for us. Exceptional value for money, and there was no skimping for a Groupon deal. Well done, all the staff at the Wroxeter.

What a wonderful family hotel in a great location we stayed in a river room suite and it was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch all the boats and numerous swans go by. The food was fantastic and plentiful especially the breakfasts. All of the staff were very happy and could not do enough for you. We would like to give a special mention to Enrico the duty manager we was wonderful and great fun. We hired a boat from the Wroxham Boat Hire which was next to the hotel. They were also excellent and gave us much help with the boat. A wonderful few days and we will be recommending both to friends and family and we will return

DO NOT STAY HERE. We were given what felt like a cupboard room. I’ve also read a review for the room from April 24 and nothing has been improved. The room was foisty, stuffy and first impressions were smelly and like walking into a cupboard. The door was tiny in comparison to the door next to us, and could hardly open it due to a latch key, where your hand could get stuck trying to pull the handle. We booked a standard double and walked into 2 single beds, which couldn’t be moved together due to the bedside table fastened to the wall. When sitting on the bed it felt like the mattress fell through to the divan base! The same plug socked reviewed before was still broken where the kettle was placed. The bathroom felt like an outdated council house. The window hardly opened to freshen up the room, and seemed broken at the bottom. We didn’t like to risk forcing it. The tiny TV in the corner seemed to be about 20 years old. One you might have set up in a caravan. £130 for a bedroom we were looking forward to enjoying as a wedding guest. But we’d have got more value for our money camping in the field outside. I’d suggest the hotel look at closing No.23 bedroom off as an offering to guests. It’s so disappointing. Mind you, we also looked into room 10, which was equally as run down and terrible to think that the hotel is putting guests in rooms like this. Not at all as advertised.
