📍 Bell Lane, Upper Broadheath

"Not been here for several years, but returned tonight for a family birthday. Stunning. The vibe, the staff and the ambience was subtle yet powerful. Food was top drawer, and well presented from the trout to the lamb faggotts. Decent wine list. This was on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was full. Tells a story. Would highly recommend."

"Great location few minutes walk from the station and Kate was a joy to deal with and so helpfull. Room was clean and a fan was provided to enable a good nights sleep Breakfast was good but there did appear to be reduced staffing but both mornings the ladies on duty did replenish items that had run low. Great value for money for the location and service"

"Lovely overnight stay for work. Set in the splendid Worcestershire countryside, I had a great meal and pint, little walk and then another beer as it was such a treat. Had a really good sleep and the breakfast was top notch after a decent shower. The staff were great too. Arrived stress free for my meeting."

Diglis House Hotel
8.4 (62 reviews)

Diglis House Hotel ★★★★

📍 Severn Street, Worcester District

"The hotel’s riverside location and gardens are excellent. We stayed in a superior double on the ground floor of the annexe. However, the room furniture and fittings were tired and dated. The room was located next to the function suite and its toilets which was not a problem until the wedding on our last night. When we returned from dinner to find wedding guests sitting on the table and chairs outside our room smoking and drinking. The food especially the breakfast was very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel but just be careful with your choice of room."

"We like a lot the service and the cleanliness in the hotel and in our room, just a bit cold room, the radiator wasn't working, for the kind of the receptionist and the friendly conversation with, we are satisfied."

Travelodge Worcester ★★★
"What you'd expect from a good Travelodge - fine service, excellent location for shops, cafes and the Cathedral and a lovely clean room (ours even had a coffee making machine). We were on the top floor with fine views over Worcester and the two lifts were OK. [Note one lift goes down to ground level the other doesn't]. Reception is on the first first floor so use the lift, nearby escalator or stairs. Parking next door in the NCP car park (£12 a night) was simple but note: there is no direct exit into the hotel (you go down the entrance ramp to get out), the pay machine didn't work on the ground floor and it doesn't take cash."

Diglis House Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel is very nicely located on the banks of the River Severn and only a short walk to the City Centre/Cathedral/Racecourse. The main building is old and has lots of character features and there is a huge beer garden/outside eating area, which gets very busy at times. During the evening we were there you had to queue at the bar, although the staff were efficient and the Butty Bach real ale very good. When I booked there were only so called ' Guest Doubles' left. The room was on the second floor ( no lift) in the more modern annexe. Although the bed and the bathroom were of a good size, the room was rather small, which was not helped by part of the ceiling being sloping. The windows would only open a couple of inches, so the supplied fan was useful. The decor of the annexe was rather bland/functional, although it was in good condition and spotlessly clean everywhere. The full English breakfast looked good, but my poached egg and bacon on toast was a bit sad. ( One toast- one egg - one rasher of bacon). All the staff very helpful/pleasant. One oddity is that on the hotel website it gives the address of the hotel with the postcode WR1 2NF, but to use WR1 2 NE in your satnav. So I duly put in WR1 2NE and ended up in dead end in a modern/refurbed area. So I then put WR1 2NF in the sat nav and it took me straight to the hotel car park !"
