Second time tried all day breakfast. Fried eggs still like bullets. There is no taste in saussages, cardboard in texture. Steak and ale pie had been nuked to death in a microwave, then reheated as pastry on the bottom was like concrete. Someone needs to look at the order in which they prepare food. Ladies on opposite table had issues with scones. Service very slow to say it was empty. Footy on tv no one watching. No atmosphere. No ventilation or ar circulation. Nice staff.

My car broke down i tried to ring but got no reply !!! So I had to.pay the full price i wont be booking again n.tbh I was looking forward to it but it cost me a small fortune with the tow of my car back to.north Yorkshire

Value for money, very friendly staff, made us really welcome. Nice, large family room. Good shower, bathroom had a few toiletries. Decent menu, breakfast was fine. Good location for us - 4 minutes walk to station.

Needed somewhere to stay as we were over for a funeral. Just a great little find! Lovely room in a converted stable block. Well furnished and cosy. Reasonably priced. Great breakfast each morning and friendly welcoming staff in the pub. Parking available right outside.

Room needs a good clean
The radiator didn’t work so a small oil heater was put in the room it had broken wheels. So the room was freezing.
The skirting boards and socket’s covered in thick layers of dust. Bathroom floor dusty in corners overall needed a good clean.
Mentioned the heating problem and the staff member said oh sorry I knew there was an issue but thought it had been sorted.
