Days Inn by Wyndham Woodland

Nice small hotel with plenty of food options nearby. Rooms were quite and staff was very friendly! I will stay here again while my daughter is attending UC Davis. Only 15 min drive on highway, which was actually quicker than staying in Davis and driving through town.
Holiday Inn Express Woodland

I am a business traveler with clients in the Woodland area. For the past 4 years I have been staying at this hotel. Every visit has exceeded my expectations. The entire property - rooms, public areas, outside the building are always clean and well maintained. Housekeeping service is reliable and thorough. Complementary breakfast is better than other similar properties. Recently I had a special request and the manager Mr. Raj fulfilled this without any friction. I will continue to stay at The Woodland Holiday Inn and I highly recommend.
Econo Lodge Woodland Near I-5

I was prepared to give this hotel a 10. Front desk check us in with Military precision, I swear it took 6 minutes. We had just traveled from Washington to Sacramento, we were tired and just wanted a shower and sleep. So, fast check in was a bonus, no small talk just in and out. The room was fine, no carpet on the floor, so looked renovated. Then we heard it, the drip drip drip of the shower (before we showered). We tried everything to make it stop but it was too fast. I'll be honest, at this point I was dead tired and cranky. All our gear was in from the car, and it was late, I had no desire to move rooms so I didn't call the front desk. If this place is family owned and run, they already knew that the the shower was leaking. Unless no one ever went in to clean, they should have been aware. A leak that fast doesn't just start. We tried towels on the floor, a facecloth around the shower head, moving the head, nothing worked. The thing dripped every second. We had the worst sleep (I cried at one point) and will not return. There is no one there from 12 to 6 so there was no one to tell, so I left a note. I wish the Rodeway Inn hadn't closed.
Best Western Shadow Inn

Let’s make it clear from the get-go we stay in a lot of Best Westerns throughout the country, some are excellent, some are good, some are bad, and some are horrible. This particular BWP is neither good or bad, just incompetent. Checking in on Wednesday around 4 pm. and proceed to our room 141. We asked for a quiet room and they gave us one directly across from the pool. Not quiet. Not more then 20 minutes from checking in, shedding my clothing and settling in to relax, the door opened up and a couple stood there staring at my husband and I. They backed out, said sorry, but the creepy husband stood too long gauking at me before he shut the door. My husband got up, put his pants on and went to the front desk. He spoke to the women who just checked him in and asked what the hell was going on. She said their computers were acting up and had not registered us. How could she not know that the room was occupied, she just did it. This is gross negligence and a letter will be sent to corporate offices. WTH.

Quality Inn & Suites Woodland - Sacramento Airport
3.5/5100 Reviews
Hotels are hotels and we stay in a lot of them. As long as the basics are covered, they're mostly distinguishable because of what DOESN'T work well - if the cleaners have been a little lax, or the sheets are scratchy, or the mattress is beyond its expiration date. This hotel ticked all the usual boxes for comfort and cleanliness, as promised. What made it notable was Jeff. He was the desk clerk when I checked in, personable, professional and cheerfully helpful. I was using a walker and he smoothed the process for me in so many ways- opening doors, wrestling luggage, selecting a suitable room, and a number of other kindnesses. His service was exceptional and far beyond what might have been expected. Well done!
