Wyndham Garden Wismar

The hotel is located two kilometers outside of Wismar. It takes 15 minutes to get to the center by car. Public transport is not recommended. Recommended for conferences and group trips or for excursions into the surrounding area. The environment itself has nothing to offer. The hotel is located on the edge of the industrial area with no ambience. The hotel itself is perfectly fine and corresponds to the description. The pool even offers the opportunity to swim, and the price level for on-site services is ok. The staff is friendly. Only the company's business policy is off-putting. There is a charge of 5 euros per day for the parking space in Nothing. There is currently an energy flat rate of 3 euros per night. This is not communicated during booking or check-in. This fee is only charged at check-out. Since this is arbitrary and not communicated, the overall impression of the house is significantly affected. This does not show any interest in the guest.

Das Hotel ist leider in die Jahre gekommen. Der Fußboden im Eingangsbereich löst sich, der Tepichboden auf den Etagen wellt sich. Die Fenster sind mit Spinnweben von außen überzogen. Die Zimmer sind innen sauber, auch der Poolbreich ist sauber. Die Bar ist leider nicht mehr so gut bestückt wie in den Jahren davor. Zum Personal kann man sich nur positiv äußern, sehr höflich, zuvorkommend engagiert.

The breakfast was sufficient and good. The coffee was not so good, the cappuccino from the machine was weak. Room: We liked the daily supply of soft drinks (cola, Fanta and 2 juices). On the first day there was also a bottle of water. The "cleanliness" of the bathroom left a lot to be desired, various photos are attached. We arrived late, so we only saw the poor condition of the bathroom the next day. After the first day, we skipped the "room service" for the next few days. The beds were only folded up with the duvets, no sheets were straightened, and the pillows were not fluffed. We think that the vacuuming was not done either. The stand in the room (see attachment) is really ridiculous. The request for an extra pillow was only fulfilled in the evening (after asking again).

If you don't expect too much, you won't be disappointed. Very clean rooms, as is the spa area! Perfect as a starting point for long bike tours in the region. Only buffet is available in the "restaurant". At €26 per person, it would be nice to be able to read somewhere what you get for that. You can eat cheaper in Wismar.

To be honest: My wife was looking for reasonably comfortable but affordable accommodation in Wismar for the second weekend in June in order to attend the harbor festival. My personal conditions were: with air conditioning and parking. The accommodation was affordable. But immediately after arriving, it turned out that the air conditioning wasn't working. When I asked one of the hard-working and friendly service staff, she said: "Unfortunately, it's currently out of order. But the technicians are on the ball!" I didn't see a ball or a technician during our entire stay. The whole thing was just a ruse. When I tried to switch the system on, it made noises that suggested that the thing hadn't been working for ages. On the second day, we couldn't get out of the parking lot because the card was wrongly programmed, and on the day we left, we couldn't get into our room to vacate it for the same reason. All extra trips because the staff member didn't care when coding the cards. When we left, they wanted to charge us a 6.00 Euro energy surcharge, but the friendly man at reception dropped the charge after we protested about the air conditioning. Breakfast was OK, although not opulent. There is a pool, although it is small and not too warm. There are also saunas in the form of wooden barrels on the roof. In short: If I advertise my hotel with air conditioning that doesn't work, that borders on fraud. If I demand an energy surcharge that was never mentioned before, the terms of the contract are not being met and yes, that too borders on fraud. And if I, as a guest, want to be woken up by birdsong, humming, conflict-laden dialogues between "second chance partners", the silly stories of e-bikers, the starting of the departing coach, the rolling of suitcases or the slamming of car doors (because we had to sleep with the French doors open because the air conditioning was turned off), I can also go camping... Nevertheless, I cannot agree with the previous reviews regarding the overall condition of the hotel and the rooms. Yes, it is obviously all from the nineties, but our room and bathroom were impeccably clean! Recommendation for e-bikers who are not sensitive to heat!

Die Zimmer sind ausreichend komfortabel und sehr sauber. Das Personal sehr höflich. 20:00 Uhr ist zu spät für das Buffett. Abgeräumt, Speisen matschig, durchwühlt und kalt. Wir hatten Hunger, waren aber sehr enttäuscht. Das Frühstück war ganz anders.

Ein großes und komfortables Hotel am Stadtrand von Wismar. Ruhige Gegend, geräumige Zimmer. Komfortable Spa-Zone: Schwimmbad, Whirlpool, Sauna. Große und saubere Zimmer mit einem riesigen Flachbildfernseher.

Wir waren mittlerweile das 9. Mal da . Dieses Mal hatten wir für 3 Tage HP gebucht- Der Empfang war sehr höflich und kompetent.. Unser Zimmer war sauber, auch das Bad.. Das Abendessen ( kalt / warme Büfett ) war leider nur lauwarm. , die kalten Speisen waren sehr gut. . Der Wein war viel zu kalt. Der Service war sehr gut . Am nächsten Morgen : Das Frühstücksbüfett war mehr als ausreichend, sogar 5 - Minuten und 8 Minuten gekochte Eier waren da. Kaffee , verschiedene Sorten , holte sich jeder selbst von der Kaffeemaschine .Die Brötchen waren leider sehr hart und trocken Zum Abendessen gab es 2. Fleischsorten und einmal Fisch mit Beilagen, diesmal war alles schön heiß. Leider wurde das kalte Büfett nicht aufgebaut, trotzdem eine Käseplatte avisiert worden war. Auf meine Nachfrage wurde uns beschieden : Käseplatte ist gestrichen, SCHADE . Leider wurde die Bar, nicht wie sonst von einem Barkeeper, sondern von einem Azubi betreut, so daß es keine Cocktails gab, Wir sind extra wegen der leckeren Cocktails in dieses Hotel gefahren. Es war unser LETZTER Besuch, wir werden hier nicht wieder hinfahren ! ! !
